I am thinking about getting a Wii for my kiddos for Chirstmas, but really want to get a good deal on it. I don't even know what the going price is now, and I know the price may drop when the holidays get closer, but does anyone know the best price out there right now and the best place to find one? Thanks so much!!!!

Right now, the going rate for a standard wii package, includes the wii console, a wii-mote, and a numchuck, with the sports disc for 199.00. This is pretty standard across the board at major retailers. Watch Costco if you have a card, as sometimes they have huge package deals that contain extra wii-motes (usually 39.99 each) and numchucks (around 19.99) and often times they have additional games added.
When I purchased ours, almost three years ago, it was 249.99. I bought the Wii Play bundle (49.99) that included an extra wii-mote, and some decently fun games to teach you how the controllers work. Deals are out there, if you look for them. I do suggest buying a travel case for it though, as ours travels quite a bit......

I'd like to mention that the Wii is notoriously hard to get around Christmas time. If your kids heart is set on it and you're set on getting it I'd do it before Black Friday. (personally I'd do it now, my sister couldn't find one in early Nov year before last.)
They had the original Wii down $50 a short while back since they were putting out the black one. Might be worth scouting out the stores in your area to see if they have any of the older models left.

eta:Sports Resort is way better then the Sports so I'd make sure it has it.

We bought the new black model at ToysRus last month with the Sports and Sports resorts games for $199. That was the best deal we found at that time. I'd recommend gettig it now because it's really a nightmare after Thanksgiving.

Thanks everyone! I just ordered the summer bundle from Dell- seems like a good deal, and I was thinking of waiting until I read your warnings about them becoming hard to find. Thank you for the suggestions- the kids will love it! Now I just have to add all the accessories....:scared1:

As far as accessories as long as you have a controller and nun chuck for each kid you're good. If they have friends over the controllers can be shared. I wouldn't go nuts buying a lot of stuff cause sometimes it's just easier using the remotes. I would suggest a charging station though.:thumbsup2

eta: make sure the spare controller has the motion enhancer adapter for Sports Resort.
