Do you have a Wii in your house? Have you used the Wii yoga? Do you like it? Has it kept your motivation?

I go to pilates 3-4 times a week but want something for the days I'm off, what do you think about the Wii?

TIA!:cool1:

For a lighter workout -fine.
If you want to get your heart rate up and keep it up for more than a few minutes -I don't think it would do it for you.

I think the wii is great in getting people off the couch- but I think it would be hard to use it to meet exercise goals.

Maybe I am biased though. I teach indoor cycling

I don't have a Wii yet, but we are concidering it. I just have one question - is there any difference between the Wii yoga, and a tape you just pop in for $15?

TIA

With the wii yoga you will get some feed back as to if you are doing it right
also your progress will be noted

I do.
I walk for at least a half hour after I drop DS off at school, then I do at least a half hour to an hour of workout with the Wii. I've dropped about 7 lbs since we got it, but it should've been more. Once I get my binge eating conquered (that's been a struggle for me) I'll probably lose weight more easily.

I'm embarrassed to admit that although I log in at least 20 miles a week on the treadmill, I was playing wii fit boxing, and the next day, my arms were killing me! LOL!

I really like the wii Fit, and I find I do the exercises better than the exercise tape because they are telling me areas where I did something wrong (like you're putting too much weight on this side, you've got to work on this area, etc.). You can also track your weight, which is great for me cause I don't own a scale!

But if you want a good workout that makes you sweat, I suggest the Jillian game. My legs really hurt this morning!

I love the Wii Fit boxing but haven't done it in a while. I need to get back to it.

I have a Wii Fit and love it. I'm a very obese person and it gets me up and moving in a fun way, I'm not at the point where I can do the yoga part and I'm not sure that's even my cup of tea, but I do like the stepping part of the wii and walking part and use it often.

Not sure if I were a real physical person if it would be the best exercising tool, but for someone that needs to just get up and get moving it has help me a lot. And our family really enjoys bowling and the tennis too.
