WiFi reception in rooms (1BR Standard) @ AKL-Kidani?

How is the WiFi reception in the rooms at Kidani? Is it necessary to bring a wireless router to ensure good connection?

Simply, it varies from room-to-room. We've shared Two Bedroom villas with friends/family and had great reception in one bedroom while other bedroom could barely connect.

If a solid connection is important to you, bring your own equipment.

But also note that the wired service was disconnected a couple years ago. If you plan to bring your own equipment, it will have to be some sort of wireless repeater that can piggyback resort wifi or a cell carrier hotspot.

We rented a wifi modem the week of Halloween last year because my DH was working from the room each day and needed the bandwidth for Gotomeeting type software. It was totally unnecessary the wifi M-F 9-5 was great. We were in the standard 1 bedroom closest to the lobby.

Wifi connection also varies on what type of devices and how many people are connected to an individual access point.
So it is entirely possible to have a good experience one day and a bad the next.

We stayed there for a week in October in a one bedroom villa. My husband and I both work a few hours a day on the road and need solid wifi for meeting software, etc. On our arrival night, I had to run two meetings, and the internet went out completely in the middle of my first one. When we called, at first they told us that their wifi is not super strong, but later, we found out it was a resort wide outage. It was out until nearly midnight. The rest of the week, it was very good coverage and we had no further issues with heavy usage. I am not sure how often these resort wide outages occur.

Thanks for the update. Hopefully, I won't have to work much while we're there but it's always a possibility!
