Wide feet? What are you favorite shoes/sandals for the park?

Hi all- I'm wanting to get some new shoes for my trip in few months. I'm thinking about it now so I'll have time to break them in before going to the park. I'm leaning towards sandals because I want something that will breath and dry out fast after water rides. I have pretty wide feet so that can be a challenge when it comes to finding comfy shoes.

Thanks!!!

Croc flip flops. The ones with leather or cloth (not rubber) straps.

Keens...either the Whisper, or for wider feet the Venice H2. Very supportive, cushiony, and made to handle water!

Covered toes in a crowded park is a plus!

I bought my first pair of Teva sandals a month ago and have worn them in the parks twice now and I LOVE THEM! The ones I got are Teva Verra Sport sandals http://www.dsw.com/shoe/teva+verra+sport+sandal?prodId=319903&productRef=SEARCH I don't have wide feet, but I like that they are adjustable so they would work with wide and narrow feet. The footbed is definitely on the wide side. These are seriously great sandals. I have somewhat sensitive feet and it takes me a long time to break in new shoes, but these didn't need breaking in at all. I got them and wore them for 2 days in the parks right away, no problems at all. They even got wet on GRR and it was no big deal. I just recently returned from a trip last week and wore them 4 days straight and my feet never hurt. These are my new Disney shoes for sure!!

I actually really like Skechers. My feet have a narrow heel but a wide toe area. I have the Reggae sandals and they are amazingly comfortable. I have worn them through 3 summers of Disneyland visits and they've held up very well. They have a tennis shoe bottom so you still get a lot of support. For tennis shoes, I like the Skechers Go-Walk 2s. They are slip ons, but they are very lightweight. You can wear them with socks if it's cold outside or without socks in the heat. When I went to Legoland recently I wore them in the water, too, at the water park, and they held up through all of that and dried well.

I wear a size 5.5 with a C width (my feet are basically little boxes), and I spend no little time finding shoes that are comfortable for all fashion purposes. For Dland, I have two that I switch back and forth while walking in the parks (wear one in the morning then switch to other for the night time when I am back at hotel for midday break). These are the Keen Whisper (basic design is wide foot friendly) and my ASICS GT-1000 which come in a wide width option. For going out to dinner at Napa Rose I will also bring my Vaneli Modesta low heel sandals which come in C width option.

I need help too.....wide.....nothing between the toes and they can't rub my little toes. Sandals only. So hard to find.
Found a pair I like and wore them out and of course, they are discontinued

I second the See ther Go Walk. They are made out of a material that is essentially water proof. Plus, they are like walking on a cloud. Your feet are surrounded by memory foam. I got a pair for my trip in April and they were great!

Love my Chaco's! I have the Zibram Yampas. I normally would never wear anything that has a toe strap, but these are seriously comfy and I don't even notice when I'm wearing them. I tried a few different brands and styles on Zappo's before I found these.

I second this post! I have used other sandals over the years and the best have been Teva! My feet did not hurt the last time we went because of my Teva's! Check out Amazon.com for a good deal.

I have always worn Acsis running shoes. Their Nimbus, gt1000 and kayano models all have wide sizes. Also new balance have lots of shoes with wide sizes.

Ditto to the sketchers go walks. I have arthritis and it's the worst in my feet. These are literally the only shoes I wear, unless it's snowing. They come in wide width, which is what I wear, but the color selection is much more limited.

Although now I'm going to go look up the sketchers sandals someone mentioned!

Can you just find shoes in widths? Most seem to wear athletic shoes to the park. The brands I know with lots of wider widths are New Balance, Asics, and Mizuno. I've occasionally seen Nike in wide sizes. The last time I saw a pair in my size was at a Nike Factory Store at an outlet mall. Women's wide are typically D width.

I'd recommend just asking around at a big shoe retailer. Many will have wider versions.

Birkenstocks rock and they are very fashionable (at least here in WI).

Wow!!! Thank you guys for all of the great suggestions! I have been eyeing some Tevas for a while now so I'm glad people seem to like them. Now...to try and find stores that carry some of these recommendations so I can try them on :D

Do you have an REI near you? They carry a lot of the shoes mentioned. :)

Sierra Trading Post has great online deals. You can't try them on that way, but it might be worth taking a chance for the discount. I just got a pair of Tevas after reading this thread for $25 including tax and shipping using an extra 35% coupon code.

Teva's are the best! I wore them for 4 days straight in WDW and my feet never hurt and I didn't any blisters! I've also worn them at DL and same thing!
