I've done a search and don't see that anyone else has asked unless I'm missing it. But what about comfy shoes for ladies with wide feet? We're going in July so I'd like them to be lightweight, but they don't have to be sandals. Just comfy and wide and not tight across the foot or rubbing.

Any suggestions?

I also have wide feet and I LOVE my Nike Comfort Sandals. They're not ridiculously expensive like some other brands, they take water well, and they are so comfortable when walking long distances. I've used mine in Disney, London and Paris. I actually prefer them to my Nike sneakers!

I have wide feet, all my running shoes are wides. But at Disney, I wear skechers go walk. They are extremely lightweight, and VERY stretchy and comfortable, no socks needed. I used them all 10 days last year, no blisters or sore feet. You have to try them on to see, you will fall in love

check out FOOTSMART.

They have promo coded going between now and 8/3/14.

My feet are wide across the toes, but narrow at the heel. If this is your situation, I recommend Saucony. These fit better than anything I've ever tried.

I would NOT recommend Go Walks. These are what I wore on my trip the past 3 days, and I didn't even go to the parks, and I now have 4 blisters so big it took 9 bandaids to cover them. Next trip I'm wearing my sanuk yoga slings. Never thought I'd even think of wearing a flip flop style to WDW, but everything else I've worn the past 3 trips has blistered me. And they've all been shoes recommended here.

The Crossfit Nano's are wide, and are EXTREMELY comfy

My wife loves hers

And they also have great grip on wet surfaces, like when it rains

Wide width is relative. A lot of people think that the "W" designation is good for all wide widths. As someone that as a child I had to have custom made shoes to accommodate my wide width, I can attest that a normal "W" would not cut it for me personally. If you are in the same position, I can say that I have had good luck with "Propet" brand shoes. I wear a 6 1/2 WWWW (not a typo) and they actually make it! I have every color of sandal they make in my size and can attest that they are pretty well made. The only area they could improve is arch support, but when you wear the size I do, you learn to not be picky. They boast a "1,000 mile guarantee", although I have yet to hit 1,000 miles on any of my sandals.

Good luck in your quest.

We just returned from a week in Disney and all I wore were my two pair of Tevas. I have a wider foot, and had some swelling due to the flights/heat and the adjustable Velcro straps meant a comfortable fit every day. Good support and cushioning. Love love love them!

New Balance makes many styles in 2E and 4E. I have even found some at their outlets. I would go to a New Balance store for fitting by one of their trained fitting personnel, who will assist you with the right style and last for your needs. I need a wide toe box, wide width, support and motion control. I only buy style numbers above 800. The lower numbers sold at Kohl's, Sears, and the like don't work for me. When I wore New Balance to Disney, for the first time my feet and legs were not killing me. I have not worn any other type of walking shoe since then. Once I find a style I like, I buy additional pairs on Amazon.

In the past I was able to find some Teva sandals that fit me but I didn't wear them all day.

Asics gel duo max come in wide widths. They are my favorite tennis shoe. Lightweight and comfortable.

I love my yoga slings! Super comfy! I agree that the go walks give you blisters. I dont have wide feet but I get them. Very comfy for short walks tho

hello fellow wide footed friends!

for sandals I wear Merrells, Clarks, and Born for comfortable, supportive shoes I can wear all day walking
for sneakers I like Brooks, New Balance or Saucony

you might want to order a bunch from Zappos to try on and wear around the house - you'll get free shipping to send back what you don't like
they make it easy to search on wide shoes

I need WIDE shoes...and frankly, you are likely going to have to order them to get a quality shoes. If you want a store, you might see if there's an SAS store close by. I also have found New Balance to usually have several model options in wide widths. And have a couple different places measure your foot...while every shoe is still different, it helps to have a good starting point.

I finally found a wide lightweight sneaker that I love. Got them at The Walking Company. They're ABEO Lite. I've used them on the Treadclimber all week, have walked miles in them and they fit perfectly. They're comfy, don't rub and don't feel like a ton of bricks on my feet. If you have a store near you or don't mind shopping online, check them out.

My DH and DS can only wear New Balance XW. We have not found anything else you can get in a store that fits them.

I wore the same cheap running shoes I bought at Target for my last 2 trips. First time they were fine, second trip I ended up with huge blisters all along the outside edges of both feet. Stupid wide feet. It was horrible. Now I have a 6 day DL trip in a couple of weeks and a 12 day WDW trip in Nov so I decided I had to bite the bullet and shell out some bucks for decent walking shoes. I went to The Walking Store where they have you stand on and walk across a computerized pad that analyzes your weight distribution and pressure points as well as measures the height of your arch so you buy the right shoes for your specific feet. I bought the Abeo B.I.O. System walking sandals. They aren't pretty but boy do I feel a difference, and not just in my feet but in my back too. Life changing, lol. I have to admit at $130 it's the most I've ever paid for a pair of shoes but I wish now I would have done this 2 trips ago. What a difference a good pair of walking shoes make!! Heaven. Just wanted to throw them out there as another recommendation from someone else who also has wide sausage-esque Fred Flintstone feet.

I have wide feet but I don't know if they are super wide... Crocs in wide work for me. They have tons of cute styles. I wear them everyday and can't even imagine life without them!

I average 10,000 steps a day. Never got blisters and I did wear my everyday croc flats in our one day in DLR. We were there from rope drop to midnight and I wouldn't have wanted to do it in any other shoes!

DH and I both have wide feet, and we swear by this store. We go the actual store in Miami, but you can shop online:

For WDW, I just use New Balance sneakers, which are available almost anywhere in a variety of widths. Zappos and amazon have good deals along with LL Bwan.

I bought a pair of Nike Dual Fusion running shoes (kohls has wide on their site and in stores usually) for my last trip. I usually have terrible foot fatigue, pain, and blisters after the first day. I had planned to break the cardinal rule and wear a brand new pair of shoes, alternated with my broken-in pair. Old pair day one, normal pain, could barely walk by the end of the night. New ones (the dual fusion) day two, NO pain! I wore the new ones the rest of the trip and was feeling great.
