Wide eyed newbie here

'Ello everyone! I've been lurking here since I came back from my first-ever Disney trip last August, and finally decided to register.

I've always loved Disney, because I've always been a dreamer with a strange imagination. I grew up on stories about that magical place, Walt Disney World. My older sister went with my dad's family when she was six years old, but due to bad circumstances, I had to wait until last summer, when I was entering my senior year of high school. It didn't even matter that I never got to go as a young child, I still felt the magic just as strongly, and now I want to go back.

I found this board right after we returned home, and found some great advice that really would've helped if I'd learned it before we left. If I ever get to go again, I'll definitely be well prepared!

I hope to meet some great people and talk about Disney with people who believe in magic.

Congrats on making it to the Magic Kingdom. I went when I was 19 and had a great time. Now I'm 38 and have just as much fun as my 2 girls, 8 and 10. Remember, it is the most magical place on earth, for people of all ages.

Welcome to the Dis !! I was 45 before my first trip to the World ! I now do all the planning and have as much, if not more fun, than my kids (well, maybe not as much as my DS (16), who hopes to become an Imagineer). Now, my DW will "only" let us go every other year ! Have fun and welcome again to the Dis !
