for those of us on the West Coast!

We booked flights for the 4 of us round trip Seattle/Orlando (direct flights, at the time we wanted, all taxes/fees included) for just under $335 each! We found the flights on the wdw website and then called our awesome travel agent - she booked the flights for us.

So happy with that price! Can't even fly round trip to Calgary from Vancouver for that price LMAO!

Just thought I'd share for those of you looking for flights in October!

:cool1:  :goodvibes

what airline? where did you see it on the website?

oh my gawd.

that is so good!!!!!!!!!!!! i wonder if they have december flights...

We just priced it as a package on the WDW site to see what the flights would come up as - and that's what we got! The flights are on Alaska Airlines, but I think you have to either book directly with a Disney-affiliated agent (as we did) or you have to book directly with Disney to get that flight price. Give it a try - I hope you're able to get the same deal in December!!! :wizard:

i am doing it but it doens't tell me what the cost of the flights are? what am i doing wrong?

Oh, it just shows you the cost for the hotel and for the tickets - so just take the total price, subtract the hotel cost and the ticket cost. Voila - flight cost :cool1:

Let me know what you find! Good luck :woohoo:

:confused3 $4000 for 4 of us!

YIKES!

Hmmm... our grand total was just over $3300 for the 4 of us. Perhaps because you're looking at December? Our price was for Oct. 15 (night flight, we'll arrive the early morning of Oct. 16) through to Oct. 25 (evening flight home). It includes our flights, preferred room at ASMovies, 5-day park passes for each of us, transfers, etc.

I hope something comes up for your dates! Fingers crossed for you :wizard:

its ok. i have found a flight with united airlines...although its not direct. seems weird to drive 3 hours to fly only for 1 hour and then get off the plane, wait and fly some more!

alaska seems to be the only direct flight carrier but for christmas flights its too expensive.

united is about $500. i can stomach that. we paid $450 each for april 2006. so for christmas, thats not too too bad.

although free would be better!:rotfl: :rotfl:

thanks for the idea though. got my blood flowing again after being up all night with a sick baby.

and now i am offically back on the wdw obsession!:hippie: :hippie:

:thumbsup2 for getting you back on the WDW wagon and :sad2: for your sick baby. I hope he/she is feeling better quickly!!!!

thanks! she is sleeping right now. poor thing has tonsilittis. its really making its rounds this winter and she is only 9 months old and just starting learning the fingers in the mouth while blowing bubbles thing so lots of germs!:worship:

That's a great deal!!! The trouble for us, being on the island, is the cost of just getting off the island. We flew Alaska last year too but out of Victoria and through Seattle. Right now if we did it again it's about $2400 return for the 4 of us. Needless to say we won't be going again until another 4 years, takes me that long to save up. I'm too worried about taking ferries (what if we have bad weather and they get cancelled?), driving to Seattle, getting a hotel for the night before and the return, gas, parking - I figure it's just too much of a headache. Sure wish there was a deal for us islanders too.

Yep, we're pretty darn thrilled with our airfare! Would it be better for you to take a morning ferry, drive to Seattle and take a daytime/evening flight? That way, you wouldn't have to pay for a hotel night. The ferries are usually pretty reliable, I think you'd be OK. The parking at SeaTac will be over $200 for 10 days, but that's still cheaper than 2 nights hotel (one night going, one night coming back) kwim?

Are your roads better now? You seem to get the brunt of the snow when it comes :sad2: My grandparents live in Parksville, but they're from Manitoba so anything less than 2 feet of snow just makes them :rotfl: Teehee!

Good luck with your trip planning! :goodvibes

We would have to come over the night before - the flight we like to take which gets us into Orlando around 4:30pm (I think) - which means we would have to come over the day before. :headache: Doh! Oh well, hopefully Victoria will start getting some direct flights out of here by the time I go next.

Actually in the south island we haven't been getting any snow (my kids are pretty disappointed) - I'm not. My mom lives up in Coombs and my brother in Campbell River - they've been getting lots of snow. Every time we have lousy weather I just go on line and see what it's like in Orlando.

Have a great trip.:thumbsup2
