How is the Wi-Fi at BLT? For our last stay we were at OKW and we brought our own wireless router. My understanding is that BLT now has Wi-Fi but I just want to make sure that it works OK before I leave my router at home.

The hard wired connections are no more. WiFi at all of the resorts has it's ups and downs but is generally slower than what most of us are use to.

:earsboy: Bill

I was at BWV this past week and the wired connection did not work. Wireless was good most of the time.

We were at BLT in January and no problems with the WI-FI. Connections were never a problem and the speed was fine.

We were at BLT in March and the WI-FI was fine. Speeds where okay for normal email and checking stuff ,I didn,t try streaming anything -
We did a split stay with BCV the only way I was able to get a connection was to hunt down the router and plug in to that -

I was at BLT last week and found it to be spotty. Then we went to Kidani later in the week and had no problems at all.

I'll confirm that the wifi at BLT was spotty. We were there from April 26 to May 1st. It was so bad that I put the computer away.:badpc:
Bring the router.

We didn't have good luck with the wireless at BLT in April. Finally gave up and used the broadband card we had brought to use in the car. And cell service (A&T) was terrible. I had to go out on the balcony so I would lose connection!

Another vote for poor connection on a few trips. One trip we couldn't get a connection at all, and another it would make us accept the terms like 6-7 times/day.

Was there in January and found it to work fine for general web surfing, checking email, etc. I did try to stream a couple of things (my video from Sum of All Fears was one thing, actually), and it was really too slow to stream it smoothly -- you could watch it, but, well, it wasn't ideal.

Really depends upon what you're doing, I think, but I found it to be fine for things that didn't require a lot of bandwidth.

I did notice that it made me accept the terms over and over again, although I think that might have been when we'd change devices. We had a laptop, an iPad, iPod, and a couple of wireless equipped phones, and I think when we changed devices, we had to re-accept terms.

It kept happening to me on my phone (same device).

So I switched off Wifi and just got frustrated with AT&T's equally awful connection (hate AT&T at Disney).

We were at Kidani Village April 15 - 22 and the wi-fi was spotty but good when you got it. We had a 2 bedroom and in the master it was good, living room it was okay and the 2nd bedroom was really spotty.

When we had the connections they were fast enough for general email and web surfing. I did stream a netflix movie one night all right.

The wired connection was NOT working. So don't bother carrying your router.

we all had to accept the terms seemingly all the time, it was a pain and I did write to Disney about it.

For all the cons, it was really nice to have access to wi-fi around the resort and at the bus stop etc.

Hoping it it still a work in progress and is a good start.
