Somehow the fact that they make them for cats strikes me as particularly bizarre. I kind of sort of maybe if I stretch my imagination get wanting your rottweiler to look "manly" (not for $499 plus vet fees) but your cat? Can cats be "manly"? Really?

Not to mention, aren't cats hard to tell apart to begin with? Aren't certain things kept "personal" in cats so to speak?

Someone please come tell me they purchased these for their cat, and why.

:rotfl::rotfl:I just love the idea of these - I have always thought they were hysterical.

Sorry, my cats are girls, and even when I had boy cats I never for a minute considered this. :rotfl:

My BIL considered getting them for his dog.

My BIL is an idiot.

You must have some serious issues for that to be a concern! Really, the dog doesn't care. Kinda like a little guy buying a big truck-and did you see the pic of the BIG guy with the LITTLE weiner dog!??!! 'Nuff said.

The only dogs that care are in scripted movies with a human voicing their scripted thoughts.

This has to be the silliest invention ever. But I'm not sure it is much worse than dressing dogs up in sparkly dresses.

Or having doggy parties.

Not to highjack- but have you seen the "truck nuts"? They hang down from the back of a truck?

I thought that was the silliest invention ever when I heard about it on the radio.

Then I got behind someone in car line at school that had them!!

Back to the original thread:

I would never get these for my dog or cat. I would however give them a party if I wanted to. I think it is really just an excuse to get together with friends
:)

"Extra-Plus with Epididymis"
:rotfl: Can't forget that epididymis!

Or having doggy parties.
Doggie parties at my house are just an excuse for my dog-owning friends to come over and drink!

And I'll bet THAT provided a lot of giggles for the kiddies. :rolleyes1

I think those things are just grotesque. Over-compensating much?

I think that some cat (and dog) owners would get them for their pets to save them from some perceived psychological trauma associated with waking up groggy from anesthesia and discovering that their beans were missing.

Not so much. Male cats have their bits hanging right there for all the world to see.

Hmm..maybe these owners are projecting their own issues onto their animals?

This thread brings back memories. A few years ago I belonged to a local chat board and I volunteered for our local Humane Society that had their own forum on this particular site. Someone had posted about this very topic and about the truck and it's "bling". It was a big joke for a while with our volunteer group. Well we volunteers had a party so as a party favor a made the other ladies a "Neutical Necklace". It was so funny and everyone got a kick out of them.

:rotfl:

The 18 year old who works for me on my farm has a truck with truck-nuts on the back. I make him back into the parking spot against the wall so the kids who come to ride at my farm can't see them.

he's a classy guy.

Wonder if your BIL has that set of "male danglers" for his truck.....

:lmao:

Never thought of getting neuticles for ANY of my male cats.... They're manly enough without the need to look well-hung for the ladies....

I clicked on the link and the resulting feelings were as follows 1):confused:2):idea:3):lmao:4):scared:

1) I don't get it
2)Wait, ding
3)OMG really
4)someone spends that much time thinking about animals genitals?

Is it possible that we've found the holy grail -- a topic that everyone on the DIS can agree on?

Is no one going to come and tell me I'm a bad pet owner because I didn't spring for the artificial epididymis?
