Disney has already stated that APs will be extended for the number of days of closure or get refunded for those days. You have to call them to request a refund. It seems that a lot of people are either worried about returning because of health reasons or don't want to go with all the restrictions. It is also very difficult for out of state AP holders to plan vacations to WDW. Some international AP holders can't even visit because of travel restrictions.
So, why not freeze all APs after the first day of closure (I think March 16th), and allow AP holders to decide when they would want to reactivate their passes for the reminder of their pass. This has been recommended in several threads before (so not my original idea), but I would love for Disney to read this thread and consider it for APs, especially for those out of state AP holders.
By freezing all APs, Disney will not have to deal with people calling to get refund. They don't even have to manually extend all passes. Just freeze them and let the AP holder reactivate the pass. Most people, especially out of state AP holders would love to go back to Disney some time in 2021, so this allows Disney to keep their money now (when they need it most) instead of paying AP holders back. It also will reduce the crowds wanting to go back to get their money's worth, so they can control the park attendance by knowing how many passes are activated or not. So, what do you think?
