Hey DVC vets. :goodvibes
So, long story short, can anyone thing of why the conf. # I got on the DVC letterhead after booking, is different from the one they had in their system for me? And if that wans't enough, why is THAT differnt from the one Disney dining had in their system for me too? All told, 3 different numbers for my reservation on their systems in one form or another. Talking about making me nervous. Top that off, but not a single one of those numbers works online on the Disney site to make ADRs.:confused3:confused3:confused3 I asked the gal when I was making ADRs and she had no idea.
I'll be SURE to double and triple check everything is there before we leave.

No wonder their system runs slow at times. ;)

Did you have a waitlist or a split stay? That can cause multiple numbers - the split stay.

Your DVC number(s) should work just fine for online dining reservations though.

I would look up your reservation # on the DVC site and see what it says.

No. there's nothing tricky. One stay, one room, one time I called, no splits or waitlists. It's bizarre! I booked the res. ONCE and left it alone. I can't figure it out. They can't either. And none of the 3 numbers I have work on the online system so I'm at a loss. :( I'd like to be able to do stuff online and not have to call all the time but after 3 calls, I'm no closer to resolving that. Three calls, 3 numbers. I'm afraid to call again and find a FOURTH number!:scared:

Your points are right? Only used one amount of points? That would worry me.

If MS had to change the reservation due to their error, that can cause your reservation number to change. We have had that happen a couple of times.

Ah yes, in one call they did say they had had one reservation for 7 day and oen for 8 even though I only made one 8 day ressie, ever. Even my confirmation letter had the right number of days on it, always. Must have been their mistake then for that one. ;) Somehow. I wonder why the dining people have a third then?

The Dining computers read numbers from the Disney cash reservations system, they are working on integrating the DVC and cash systems, but for now, the cash system generates a fake reservation number when it accesses DVC reservations.

AH. So if it's a fake number per se, that might explain why I can't get it (or the DVC number) to work on the Disney site to book ADRs?

I knew you guys could shed some light into the darkness. ;)
