Why won't the PS2 play some of the Disney movies?

I just purchased the Stitch movie for my children.

The PS2 will not play it. It just says "no data".

Does anyone know why this is?

Last time this happened with a Disney movie, my DH took it back to our computer, did something to it and then it played.

Any suggestions?

We are having that same problem with our PS2. Since our DVD player broke we've been using it until we can afford to fix our old DVD player or buy a new one. It's frustrating to be able to watch The Emperor's New Groove, but not the special features disc.

Sometimes I can't even get Emperor's New Groove to play in the PS2.

We have a portable DVD player that we use for vacations so the kids watched it on that but it's still frustrating.

Yea, it's weird. We couldn't even get Bringing Down the House to play on the PS2 when we rented it the other day. And we have the worst time with Toy Story 1 & 2. I really can't wait to get our DVD player fixed.
