Why weren't there more original rides about the Disney Afternoon shows at the parks?

I remember seeing a Gadget coaster and Roger Rabbit, but why not more? I wanted to see make a Gummy bears coaster, or Talespin or even a Darkwing Duck ride that was similar to the Spiderman ride in Universal.

For a short period of time DLR added plywood Gummi Bear characters to the Motor Boat ride. It would have been nice if the Disney afternoon saw more attention.
