Why wasn't I allowed to use this code?

I had found the Magic Your Way plus Dining (actually with our without dining) codes on the DisBoards (ZBH or ZBG). We are staying in the Wildnerness Lodge from Dec. 16 through 22nd. I had understood at the time I booked this trip in May, that if a code or discount came out, we could apply it then...

Well, I spent longer than I care to admit with an operator who was as nice as she could be, but she herself could not explain why the "computer" wasn't allowing her to apply the discount...

She kept trying to say that maybe it was because they aren't offering "free dining" during that time, but we already knew that... we have already paid for our dining plan...

It just would not let me apply the code.

Any thoughts?

The offer runs through September 30th and is good for booking dates in late October through mid-December...

I'd love an opinion or two.... and another code to try to apply wouldn't be bad, either!!! ha...

It is my understanding that just because there is a code released that doesn't mean you'll get the discount. This is because when Disney releases a code there are only a certain number of rooms at each resort allocated to the code. Perhaps there are no allocated rooms left at WL for your dates that's why the CM couldn't apply the code.

I think the code you are talking about was released in mid-August. It's always good to call as soon as a code is released so you have a better chance of getting it. Just keep calling back to see if you can apply the code-there might be cancellations.

Discounted Courtyard rooms come up online for your dates using this link. See if you can get a discount this way.

Did you have a woods or standard room booked. Maybe that is why they weren't allowing you to use the code.

And, welovethepoly, that's probably it... I just checked yesterday, so they probably had run out of rooms for that code...

Don't give up hope! I've been trying here and there to apply the code since it came out to my WL stay 11/26-12/4. Each time I called they said there were no more rooms left to apply code to. I called on Thursday expecting the same answer and surprisingly, they were able to do it!
