Why So SLOW?

Over 20 minutes to get on the boards, why?

it's been uber slow for about a week now

no idea what's up, maybe the server is having problems ?

I've been on here since about 2009 and it's been slow since 2009....

If I posted about the boards being slow every time they were slow, I'd be posting almost every day. If I posted about the boards being surprisingly fast, I would have posted probably only a handful of times in the last 2.x years.

Yeah, it's a slower slow than slow. I noticed too, but thought maybe it was my computer or wireless. Guess not.

Well we,ve been here since 1997---YES 1997 thats right when there was ----ONLY 1 Board --and it has been slow at times always getting new servers.

I notice it is faster at odd times, like 1 am.

I noticed it was slow too, but not sure what that has to do with budgets.

There's definitely been something unusual or strange going on over the last couple of weeks. I've been on here regularly for the last few years (more than I should be), and I've never seen it act like this. It was really bad for about a week. There were many times I couldn't even get to the site. There were many times when I got there I couldn't get to any threads, and I sure couldn't post. It was pretty much not usable for that week. It is a lot better now. It still seems to be having issues sporadically. I thought maybe they were changing out servers or doing some work on it.

Wow...it is super fast for me this morning. Faster than I can ever recall it being? I don't know much about computers, but my guess would be new servers installed?

Over the weekend It was so slow I couldn't even get on. Since I have been around this is the slowest it has been.

Yes, it is very slow this evening. I keep getting a servers unavailable or something message. Yet, I waited for this treat to finally load up and thus felt to need to comment here.

I think I have a disboard problem.

I normally use Internet Explorer, but when I switch to Google Chrome...it's way faster for me.

It has been so slow for me for well over a month or two. My Old Dial up days were Faster (years ago). ***What I have noticed is it might have something to do with the enormous amount of *spyware* attached/infected on this site.*** That is My Opinion and I Stand By it.*** Often I will adjust my (paid) PC Security to max = HIGH and that will HELP.*** I do Frequent numerous other types of Forums/Message Boards Daily and Have No Problems with any of them at all. I Really Wish the Administrators of this site would/could become aware of this Issue and Respond. DisBoards is my #1 ... go to Forum at this time but the enability to visit and the slowness has become a Negative.
