WHY on earth would anyone want to go fishing at WDW???

I certainly don't want to, and neither does my DD17 and DM, but my DH and DS15 are set on it. So, does anyone want to join them??? I booked a fishing cruise out of Saratoga Springs on 12/28/2005 at 10 a.m. for them, and was wondering if there are any die-hard bass fishermen (or women) out there who would like to share. It's for 2 hours, there's room for 3 more (5 total), no food allowed on board (I guess they provide drinks and snacks), and it's catch and release. I figure since the total is $225, anyone who wants to join in could be responsible for $40 each, plus whatever tip you all decide on. Any takers? Post here, or PM me.

The fishing excursions get pretty good reviews. I have never done it, but I saw it on TV once.

Just to let you know...I HATE FISHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Because I am a terrific mother I went with my DH and 2 DS on our last trip to Disney. I had a wonderful time. Truly wonderful. i enjoyed the sun, drank a couple of sodas and laughed at the silly men in my family. I have some fantastic video and pictures, You shoukld re-think going!!!!

Did you also have to buy a fishing license? Silly question, I know but I was curious since we have thought about doing it? I just wondered if there were other costs involved or if it was the straight cruise price including snacks? Thanks!

Since you're led by a licensed guide, you don't need to have a license yourself. And as far as I can tell, this price includes everything...lines, bait, snacks...they probably even bait your hook for you, if you want (and, oh, yeah, I'd want that...).

Well, I think "the girls" are going to tool around the lake in SeaRaycers, scaring all the fish away, whilst "the boys" curse us heartily, but there's still a chance that if we can't pawn it off on someone else, we'll go (but only if someone baits my hook and takes the yucky fish off). The only reason I might even consider going is so I can make my husband angry by catching a bigger fish than him .

Went last summer on Bay Lake from WL, it was great. They do bait the hook for you. Got about 15 nice size (2 or 3 lb) bass in 2 hours. Fished right in front of MK. Wonderfull.

Safetymom, you should check out a guide on Lake Toho. $225 for 6 hours and some places with give you the day free if you catch a 15 pounder.

"A true fisherman is a driven individual. He lives for those challenging moments when a creature from the sea takes a small nibble on his line causing him to wait with bated breath to learn if all his meticulous preparation has been successful. That creature is not really a fish, but instead a trophy, a prize, an Olympic Gold Medal, that awards the fisherman for all his cunning. A true fisherman will fish any time of year and anywhere. He will drill a hole through the ice of Lake Superior in February, unmindful that the vehicle that got him there may sink into the lake.
