Why no VCR in a studio?

Does it bother anyone else that there is a VCR in every size unit except the studio? I'm fine with the smaller kitchenette in the studio, the lack of the jacuzi tub, and even the lack of the washer and dryer. All that would take up more space than the studio allows, or than the points for a studio warrant. But why no VCR? It doesn't take up anymore space. Yes, I guess it would cost more up front. My home resort is BWV. Anyone know how many studios are at that resort? Just wonder how many VCRs were talking.

Often I take trips with just me and one child, so the 1 BR really isn't necessary. But the VCR would really be nice. Has anyone taken their own VCR and hooked it up? Would it be hard to get to the back of the TV?

Thanks for any info.

When we stayed in a BWV studio in April I rented a VCR from Blockbuster Video on the Central Florida Parkway (Seaworld exit off I-4) for $10 for 5 nights w/ no deposit. I used my Blockbuster card so I don't know if a deposit would be required w/out the card.

The dresser/TV cabinet is bolted to the wall so it is definitely a tight fit to get your hands back there to make the connection, but I was able to do it.

I thought they had added them to the studios?
Did I just dream that they had?

There was no VCR in the studio at OKW that we stayed in April or the one we stayed in earlier this month. I could see where it would be nice to have one if you had a child that it would help entertain.

They probably just figured when they were furnishing the villas that the Studios are comparable to a Deluxe Resort level accomodation, and since there are no VCRs in those they would have none in the Studios. I agree with you though, it would be a nice addition.

I'm just guessing that since the original OKW studios are also part of a 2-bedroom that they didn't add VCR's since there is already one in the living room. The other resorts followed suit.

I thought I heard somewhere that they were going to make all the resorts the same. Whether that means adding them to studios that don't have them or taking them out of Vero, I'm not sure. ;)

Yes there are VCR's in Studios in Vero Beach. I asked a CM about it ad they told me it was soomething new the did in Vero and Hilton Head. This was in Nov 2000 the reason why was since there is not as much to do as OKW BWV they thought they would add the VCR's.

Does anyone know how many studios are at BWV? Still wondering how many VCRs were talking about.

I thought I read somewhere (in a recent Vacation Magic?) that they were adding VCRs to the studios. Did I imagine that? Were they only talking about Vero Beach?

Hilton Head and Vero Beach have VCRs in their studios, but the Orlando resorts don't.Maybe they want you to spend more time in the parks generating revenue for them.
