Why no toaster?

Has anyone ever asked why the studios do not come with toasters? This would seem to be an essential appliance for breakfast items (bagels, english muffins, etc.). The studio really lends itself to eating mostly breakfast in the room. It shouldn't be an issue of counter space because there is plenty of room. It also seems strange that there would be a port-a-crib in every room, but not a toaster. A toaster would seem to get more use by members.

While toasters are not standard appliances in the studios you can always request one from housekeeping. YOu can also ask in the future when you contact MS to make your reservation that you would like one in your studio and they will note it on the reservation.

Ed, No matter what they note on the reservation, it is not the front desk that gets you those things, and you have about a snowball's chance of your note being read by the right person. They have never been aware of any request we had written on our ressies.

Mike, Just call maintenance/housekeeping when you get there. I agree a toaster would be useful to more people, but they are also more portable -- can you see them trying to bring cribs to the rooms in those little carts? Lol

The first thing we do when we check into our studio is call housekeeping to request a toaster and a full size coffee maker.

I agree also, I called for a toaster and a sharp knife, the full sized coffee maker was already there.

I am glad to hear from other members that a toaster is available from housekeeping. When I made ressie MS advised me that a toaster is only available if you have a 1br. I also inquired concerning a blender since I make protein drinks. Again MS told me only available in a 1br. Thanks for the info I plan to ask for one when I arrive in July. Again it is nice sharing this information. Enjoy!

We just got back from a long weekend at Hilton Head. We stayed in a Studio and there was a toaster!
