I know there is a good reason for the celebration to start on May 5th, but what is it? Disneyland opened the middle of July.

I was only 6 at the time. Little did I know what a huge impact Walt was going to be on my passions. I just wished I had had a chance to thank him....... :sad1: :sad1:

Anyway back to my question( At my age, my mind tends to wonder..!)

Thanks

Susan

The celebration is scheduled for 18 months so beginning in May means they will cover two summer seasons. And as they take down the Happiest celebration decorations, they can go right to the Christmas ones.

I never thought of the 05-05-05 thing. I do think they are smart letting it go until Nov 2006 like the other poster mentioned. This way they don't have to do things twice.

They often do this. Walt Disney's 100th Birthday was 12/05/01 but they started the celebration on 10/01/01. They started the Millenium Celebration on 10/01/99.

Ohhhh. How clever of them............and you.

Glad to know when it ends since I plan to go to WDW in Dec 06. Guess I'll have to take a trip to Disneyland this year.

Thanks for the replies.
