Why isn't there a no bags line at Disneyland?

Has anyone ever wondered why there isn't a no bags line at security? The lines get backed up at times especially during opening and I see a bunch of guests who can just go straight through the medal detectors instead of waiting behind the guests with bags and strollers.

Don't get me wrong, sometimes the line moves quick, but I'm just curious why they don't open a no bags line. I think Disneyworld has one? Like why not designate one security to look at those guests with no bags and have them go through the medal detectors?

Whenever it's my turn, I literally walk right through without even going through the medal detectors. Just seems like it would move the line faster.

I've wondered about that as well. It would seem to make sense.

I'm guessing that they just want to slow down everybody so that they can get a good look at how they react to the security measure. Perhaps there are behavioral specialists that are analyzing the crowd.

Ah.... we were there in mid-jan and they waived DH through the metal detector while I had to stand in line with my tiny cell phone case. Maybe this was an anomaly?

I have been curious about this for some time as well. And now WDW has Passholder lines as well. Both would be a welcomed addition to Disneyland
