Why is the All-Star Music Resort so Expensive

I was pricing out resorts for this fall, just getting an idea, and I've discovered that the standard room rate for the All-Star Music Resort is more expensive than the Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter. How is that possible? Isn't the All-Star Resorts supposed to be value resorts? That's crazy, unless something is going on at the resort during that time period.

Perhaps the standard rooms are sold out, and you are looking at prices for a family suite? Or, you put in that 5 people are traveling - so it won't show you the non-suite rooms?

(Of the value resorts: All Star Music has family suites, which none of Pop, ASMO nor IIRC ASSp have. AoA has suites too, but they are even more expensive than ASMu's suites.)

The only way I could see that happening is if you are looking at the suites like pp said. There shouldn't be any time of year that the standard room at ASM is more than a standard at a mod.

Hmmm well, I didn't put in for a suit, just a random check. And as for the dates I entered 9/18 - 9/24, a time period that should be after school started for most schools around the country, at least I would think. I'm not use to this. The last time I went to the World I worked for Mickey and got a discount. *faints over the price*

What prior peeps said - make sure you aren't looking at a ASM family suite? I just looked the week of July 10 and ASM is 139 and POFQ is 207.

Maybe I inadvertently hit something that gave me the more expensive option. I'll look again. thanks, everyone.

If the standard rooms are booked it will default to the price for the family suites.

I just did a quick search "room only" for your dates and see: STD - $117.17, PFD - $139.67, and Family Suite - $282.50 for 2 adults at All Star Music.

This.

You must have had one of the special offers clicked. I tried all the special offers and they are all sold out of regular rooms so you only were offered a suite.

Great point HopperFan, the search response can be larger then the width of your browser session, there are < and > buttons to scroll back and forth to see all the response: room only, package a, package b, package c... So if there are six responses, you will have to scroll left and right to see all of your choices.

I must have hit something, nor not unclicked something. Thanks for the responses, everyone.
