Downtown Disney! Day 4 (Part 3)

After spending some time relaxing by the pool, everyone was ready to head over to Downtown Disney for the night. We made our way over to the boat dock and waited for a ride to DTD.

I was sitting up on the railing, so naturally Jessica had to as well.



However, she is much smaller that I am and she slid right through the space between the railing and the wood and did a little flip. She came out unscathed but her face was mortified, the rest of us were all giggling and laughing, so she started to laugh too. And she said “I’m gonna do it again!” but we all told her not to.

As scary as it was for a split second, as soon as we realized she was fine we were all laughing because of how funny it looked.

Soon enough a boat came and we were on our way to Downtown Disney.



Once we arrived at Downtown Disney the sun had already set and it was getting decently late.

We walked around and went in a lot of the different shops while we were deciding where we all wanted to eat. I pulled up the Disney app and shared the menus with everyone so they could decide where they want to get food, Jill, Jessica, and Dad decided to get food at Earl of Sandwich. The rest of us got food from Wolfgang’s Express.




I got this absolutely phenomenal four-cheese pizza. I’m pretty sure I made myself eat the whole thing because it was THAT good!


I also got a delicious crème Brule

By the time we finished eating it was just about 10 o’clock and it was raining pretty hard, so we all ran from store to store quickly and then met up in the World of Disney store. I bought a Monster’s University shirt there that I ended up wearing to the movie when I went to see it.

We headed to the bus stop in the pouring rain and Jessica made a comment about how the lights on the trees that sparkled were fairies, like Tinkerbell. She was fascinated by them.

Mom and Jill had Jessica put a towel on her head to keep her dry in the rain while we waited for the bus. It was so funny! She was telling everyone how the rain wasn’t that bad cause she had her towel. Too cute!

We got to the bus stop at about 11:10. We and about twenty other people all crammed under the small bus stop awning to keep dry while we waited. The bus showed up at about 11:35 and we were back to the hotel by midnight. We said goodbye to my aunt, uncle, and cousins for the night as they went back to their hotel and we were off to sleep by 12:20.

Rope Drop at the Magic Kingdom! Day 5 (Part 1 I)

Today was our big day at Magic Kingdom, we had to squeeze all the important stuff and the things we didn’t get to do on our first MK day.

We woke up at 6:30 and got ready. We were out of the room by 7:15 and to the bus stop by 7:25.



We didn’t have to wait long before a bus came by and brought up to the Magic Kingdom. There were a few other families waiting for the bus, so it was full but not packed to capacity.



Jessica got a hold of the camera took a lot of pictures of Dad’s feet and the ground. And herself of course!







We arrived at MK at about 7:45. The park didn’t open until 9 but Mom had been misinformed by someone that Main Street would be open at 8 and we could walk around there and wait for the ropes to drop around the kingdom, however this was no the case. At 8 they let us swipe our tickets and we found a spot to sit for a little while.



As it got closer to 8:30 Mom and I made our way over to the entrance so we could say a spot for us all to stand.



There was this adorable little family with four girls standing right next to us.



They were all wearing matching tank tops with zebra print Minnie Mouse heads on them with their names underneath and they all had matching pink shorts on, and the youngest three had big pink bows that I was EXTREMELY jealous of! And they had the most adorable pink and purple tribal print TOMs on.

It was funny because the Dad and the oldest daughter somehow made it past the CM who was standing in the walk way early in the hour and they were gone, just wandering around an empty Main Street confused as to where everyone else was, then they realized.

It was getting closer to 9 so we were all gathered up near the entrance. Jessica was sad that we wouldn’t actually get to see the opening show they do but I explained to her that we were going be the first ones on all the rides and that’s much better than the show!





While we were still waiting, they were playing music and I decided to make some Vines to pass the time.

The baby in the cute family next to us was not loving the whole waiting and sitting still thing, she was screaming and crying. The CM let them walk her around in the stroller in the tunnel. The crying seized, thankfully.

After and hour of waiting we were finally counting down to our trek down Main Street!

Jill, Jessica, and I were headed straight to Fantasyland while Mom and Dad grabbed a stroller, but we decided to stop and get a picture in front of the castle because there were no people in the background!



How often does that happen?! Answer: NEVER!

We continued our fast-frumpy-almost-run-but-not-quite walk to Fantasyland where we met my pal Peter!


“What are we waiting for?!?!?” [Video]

This guy is BY FAR my favorite Peter Pan ever. He came out of no where saying “What are we waiting for? What is everybody waiting for?” and Jill turned around and said, “For the rope to drop” and low and behold it was Peter!

I showed Mom and Dad my video when they caught up to us in Fantasyland and Dad was telling me how Peter ran up behind when they were walking down Main Street and tap him on his shoulder and when Dad looked over Peter was on the other said and yelled “GOTCHYA!” and laughed and ran away. Oh, Peter you troublemaker!

As soon as they dropped the rope we ran for Enchanted Tales with Belle. We were in the first group thankfully because the line was so long when we got out.

We explained to Jessica that kids get to help in this show but if she wants to help she needs to raise her hand in volunteer. I was really hoping she would get picked for something cause I knew how much it would mean to her.

The CM was explaining everything to all of us and he was picking someone to be the horse and he picked Jessica! We were very excited for her!



Once all of the roles were assigned we were brought into Belle’s library and Lumiere was explaining everything to us.

Rope Drop at the Magic Kingdom! Day 5 (Part 1 II)

We said “au revoir” to Belle and headed on our way to visit some friends in the Hundred Acre Woods. But not without stopping to sneak a peak at the new ride!









We headed back over to Fantasyland to squeeze in some more fun.



We say a line forming so we jumped in line while Mom walked up to see who we were waiting for! It was Lady Tremaine and the Stepsisters!

Peter saw that everyone was waiting for them and he decided it would be fun to play a prank on them, of course!

They were very funny and had us all laughing! Drizella asked Jessica “If you could have your own ball gown in any color what color would it be?” Jess said purple. Then Jessica told Drizella she liked her dress and Drizella said, “I like my dress too!” And of course Anastasia had to jump in and asked what Jessica thought about her dress! Jessica told her she liked it too and Anastasia said that “It’s the most important color- Pink!” and Drizella yelled at her and said “I HEARD THAT!” It was very comical.

We waved goodbye and said we’d see them again later and headed ride Peter Pan. It was about 10 at this point and there was a short wait. We were off by 10:15 and made our way over to the carrousel.

We got off and had time to squeeze one more ride in before we had to head out for our brunch reservations! So we ran over to Dumbo! There wasn’t a long enough line for them to be using the pagers so we were able to just go in and play around for a few minutes.







Jessica was upset when we told her that we had to leave the play area because she just wanted to play but we needed to leave the park soon.

It was about 10:50 now and our reservation was for 11:15 so we ran out of the park. We got caught in a little parade traffic but we made our way up to the monorail and by now it was 11:07 and we were really in a time crunch!



But we got the IRONMAN MONORAIL so it’s fine! We arrived at the contemporary right at 11:15 and I ran up to Chef Mickey’s to check in!

Chef Mickeys! Day 5 (Part 2)



I got up to the desk and checked in at 11:17 and our buzzer went off right at 11:20. When we got up the desk there was a mix up because they had accidently taken another party to where they were supposed seated and it took them a few minutes to figure out what to do. We were seated at 11:30 and our servers name was Etha and she was very kind.

First thing we did was go up and get food!

Then they did the song and everyone was dancing and having a good time! Jessica loved it!

We finished eating and everyone was clearing out and the CMs were cleaning up. Pluto still hadnt come by though so we waited a few minutes and chatted with Etha, she was lovely CM and very nice to talk to. Then Pluto finally came by!

My New Friend, Mr. Wiggles! Day 5 (Part 3)

We finished up at Chef Mickey’s and we headed back to the waiting area. We stopped and looked at the pin board and made a few trades then Jessica was playing in the couches.

Jessica was skipping around, singing, and dancing.

We went over to catch the monorail. We were waiting there for about 10 minutes. We were talking about why they no longer let families ride with the pilot of the monorail. An older couple overheard and informed us the reason was because about five years ago there was a terrible accident when they were switching tracks at night and it resulted in a death. So they no longer let the public in the front of the monorails. We were very sad to hear about what had happened.

When the monorail finally arrived we boarded and we welcomed by the Monorail voice but also by Mr. Wiggles..

I don’t even know where to begin with this guy! He was a hoot. He just sits on the monorail all day and talks to people. He was talking to me about how he was on So You Think You Can Dance (Youtube it!), he took my phone and found the video on YouTube and had me watch it! Then he was telling us how he’s going to tryout for American Idol. He was just a crazy man!

We got back to the Magic Kingdom at 1:10 and we made our way into the park and headed straight to Space Mountain to use up some fastpasses we had picked up earlier in the day! We met up with my cousins there and we headed into the ride a few minutes after our FP time.



Jessica was a little nervous about going on this ride but we talked her into it and she ended up having a great time!

Joey, Richie, and a little girl we didn’t even realized came on the ride with us!

Once we were off the ride we met up with the parents. It was very hot out so we decided to head over to the Laugh Room and jump in line. Since the wait time was about 35 minutes Mom and Auntie Dianne said that she would take the tickets and go get fastpasses for Big Thunder Mountain or Splash Mountain.





After the Laugh Room, Dad, Uncle Mark, Richie, Joey, and I went on the People Mover while Mom, Dianne, and Jill took Jessica to get her face painted.



As soon as we came out of the Space Mountain loop it was down pouring!



So when the ride ended Dad and I ran right back up and went for another ride!

When we got off it was still raining extremely hard, so I put on a poncho and went to buy ponchos for everybody else. Of course as soon as I get back with the ponchos the rain has cleared up! But hey if buying six ponchos ensured a sunny sky for the rest of the day then it was money well spent!

We met back up with everyone and I instagrammed this picture of Jessica and her fairy face paint:








It was still drizzling a little bit so we headed over to the Carousel of Progress! “Rover, don’t interrupt while Sarah is interrupting!”

It was about 3:35 when we got off singing “There’s a great big beautiful tomorroowww!” and we headed across the park to use up our BTM fastpasses! When we got there the ride was down, we decided we’d split up because the boys and Jill wanted to go on Haunted Mansion (we all know how that ended the last time with Jessica). So Mom, Dianne, Jessica, and I went to get in line to meet the fairies!
