Why is AK closing at 9:00 on August 1st?

The rest of the week it closes at 10:00. Wonder why that one day it closes at 9:00?

"Regular" park hours at AK are 9am-8:30pm (those are the times every day my week in mid-August), so even 9pm is technically "extended" hours. My guess on why it is not open as late as other days is because it's a Wednesday, and there are lower expected crowds because of people who stay for long weekends instead of a full week (e.g., Saturday-Tuesday or Thurs-Sunday).

Wednesday has EMH at MK, so that will attract some folks who would otherwise stay late at AK.

Don't know exactly why Monday and Tuesday close at 9pm though crowd anticipation is my guess.

Thursday, Friday, Saturday close at 10pm.

HOWEVER, if you look at park hours for Sunday August 5th it's back to 9pm with Monday the 6th through Saturday the 11th all being 9pm so my guess is 10pm is because of the weekend and larger anticipated crowds with a drop off of crowds starting the next week as schools start going back into session but that's my guess.

*Keep in mind Disney can and does adjust hours. Those hours may not change but then again they may change.
