I am so mad about this - I made Boma ressies on that Tues and LeCellier ressies on Thurs since that is usually their EMH nights. I was mainly banking on AK to be Tues since I needed to buses for transportation. Anyway of course I have had no luck switching LeCellier, I have been trying daily since the hours came out.

I can't stand how you have to make restaurant ressies 90 days out when you don't even know when the park hours will be :confused3

Anyway - back to main question - is there anything special going on at one of those parks to have them switch EMH nights just THAT one week. All the weeks before and after have them back to AK Tues, Epcot Thurs - except for that one darn week!! I can't find anything special going on???

This is just a good reminder and example of the fact that EMH is not set in stone. This has happened quite a few times now this year. At the last minute WDW changes the EMH schedule.
I'm not aware of anything in particular that would of caused the change. However, someone else might know.

Have you tried calling WDW Guest Services? Just a thought b/c I've seen some screwy stuff appear and disappear on that site. ITA about the 90 day ADR rules when the parks hours aren't even out yet. Especially since all our fave's are booking like CRT used to. I hope it's just an error so your plan can continue like you have it. :goodvibes:

Those hours have been out for awhile.
So how late are you eating at Boma? The AKL is a wonderful place to walk around for awhile if you leave AK at close (5pm) and then spend some time looking at the savannahs, would that work?
I think they switch them around like that just to mess with us. Lol.

I know the hours have been out for awhile but that does me no good when I booked the restaurants 90 days out. I knew there was a chance that the EMH might not be what they normally are but it just seems so odd that for that one week - those 2 EMH are switched for no good reason. Usually when they switch around it is because of private parties, events like Nights of Joy, change in park time hours etc... when it has to be. I just thought there was a reason that I didn't know about. Of course CRO was clueless when I asked about the EMH switch

Oh well - our reason for the Boma ressie on Tues was because we had a 5:10pm ressie and we were going to MGM in the AM and then nap and then take the bus and go eat at Boma's and do the extra hours of AK after and use the bus system since we aren't renting a car. Our kids take naps in the afternoon so staying at AK all day and then doing the 5:10pm ressie would be a series of meltdowns at the dinner table.

I was able to actually get a 5:20pm ressie on Thurs of AK EMH night but my LeCellier ADR is that night and that is the one I can't switch to save my life. I don't want to give up that ADR - that is one I truly want to go to. We have 9 in out party so waiting for a party that size to drop is slim to none since I have been trying for over a month now!

Oh well

I don't know why the EMH hours would be switched... sometimes it seems awfully arbitrary. Sorry you got messed up because of it.

We got turned around, too, but in the exact opposite way- we were trying to acoid EMH nights, so we scheduled Epcot for Tues evening (with dinner at Teppenyaki), and AK for Thursday all day, and off to 'Ohana for dinner. Now, we will be at the parks with EMH hours!!

We were trying to avoid crowds- hopefully it won't be too bad, especially at Epcot. Our other two evenings there are on weekend nights- one on the first weekend of F&W, and the other on the following Friday night.

Sorry, the 'those hours have been out for awhile' was aimed at a reply

post that seemed to not even know about the switch.

Everytime I go they mess me up with the EMH switch thing. I am getting used to having to give up on something. I feel your pain, I had my ADR in EPCOT messed up because I avoid the night time EMH's... the exact opposite as you with the same result. My Boma dinner was easy to switch but I had to give up on Chef's deFrance.

I would give up Boma, except your kids might really like the AKL. So it is a hard call.

They just extended MK hours again for parts of October. And if you are still there the second week of October they added a second Fantasmic show a bunch of nights (starting with the day we leave :( ). I have always heard extra hours ='s bigger crowds (that Disney adds them as rooms fill in the area) so I am not sure if I am happy about the extra MK hours. Maybe it is just because MNSSHP closes the park early so many nights.

So,
Does Epcot really have EMH on the 3rd and the 4th, and which day would be better???
thanks,
Lynn

The EMH for Epcot on 10/3 is in the morning (opening 1 hour early), and the EMH 10/4 is in the evening (open 3 hours later than regular closing time).

Which day would be better for you depends on if you want to get going early, or stay late. During peak times, the evening EMHs are more crowded than morning ones- probably won't be too big of an issue this time of year.

WS doesn't open til 11 am, even if there are morning EMHs. FW stays open late, though, during evening EMHs.

this is exactly why i booked crt for 3rd and 4th, didn;t know what the stinky hrs would be... :earboy2: DISNEY!!!...We will have 1 hopper day and 1 -1park day. My hopper day was supposed to be Epcot/AK on the 4th..how fun to do late night at AK!!! Glad I also got CRT for the 4th, those hours switched my plans around. Now we are doing Epcot/AK on 3rd and MK on 4th!, somehow have to figure out how to squeeze tarzan....oh i mean AK :goodvibes in between PSBBand Lecellier early dinner???

I'll be there the 1st wee and it worked out great for me that they were switched. I really don't want to be at EMH parks all week and it would have been that way had we not switched. I was very happy that they did it this way. Now I can go to Epcot on Tuesday night after leaving my kids in the room with my babysitter.

thanks for the explanation--I really wanted to be at MK on the 4th, so I think I'll call Dining and see if I can change and head to MKon the 4th and Epcot on the 3rd.

they change the hrs all the time one day we went out for the mk emh bus and the ak was there for emh instead. if we hadn't asked we would never have known
