Why I Am Now Deleting All Of My Friends

I've decided to post this on all of the forums I am a member of. Here is a private message I received from someone on another forums:

Dear GreenieMimi,

You have received a new private message at VMK Magic Forums from
xxxxxxx, entitled "no".

This is the message that was sent:

Now, I don't know this person, I don't WANT to know this person. Obviously with an attitude like this, it's a very good thing they are not on my friend's list. This is not my reason for writing, however. I have decided to delete everyone from my list on VMK. I won't stand for being threatened, harassed, stalked or confronted in any way from anyone.
So, if you are among my current friends, please understand my reasons for having deleted you. We can always be friends within the game, but I won't add you to my list.

If you will take suggestions, delete everyone on your friend list and then add people who are your real friends. Is there a group of buddies on VMK that you normally hang with? Just put them on your list: make the list short and sweet.

That's insane that you received that message and I am sorry you experienced that. However, might I suggest that deleting ALL of your friends might be a little over-reacting.

Look at your list. You have friends and you have play that know you in the game. there is a big difference.

Might I suggest: Thin your list, don't clear your list. VMK's just no fun without the friends!

That's messed up. I think deleting your whole list is bit too harsh. You should keep the people who you've known for a long time and that won't do anything like that if possible. Even if it's just 10 people you still should.

First off, this has happened on more than one occasion. Some players have found me off the game and sent pm's in the past. This is just the last straw. I try to keep the kids on as long as they are not rude or demanding. I've tried the "thinning" list and all that does is create jealousy among those who I deleted. This is the best way, for the moment.
Thank you to all who understand my position on this matter. It has to be done.
VMK is still the best game I've ever played and will remain so. I know a lot of Dis on the game, and will continue to be friends with everyone...just not on my list, for now.

Mims, I'm so sorry to hear this happened to you. While you are not on my friend list in VMK, I know you very well. You are a very nice person, and you should not have to deal with something like this. I know I have received some rude PM's before also. I think that some people really don't think before they send stuff like that.
