Why get Magic Bands?

We are staying offsite and buying tickets through Undercover Tourist. Is there some reason I should pay to get magic bands? Is there an advantage that you see to having them versus not having them? Do we need to show each person's ticket for Fastpasses etc? I plan to keep all the tickets with me, I can't trust my 9 yr. old or 6 yr. old (or my husband, honestly) not to lose their tickets.

You need the ticket cards twice for each FastPass attraction - once at the entry of the queue and once at the 'merge point' inside. (And of course, when entering the park.)

I almost never recommend MagicBands to my guests who don't already have them, unless I see that they've purchased Memory Maker - they're nice for "automagically" collecting the ride photos/videos. But, you can claim all the ride photos except for the one on 7DMT by tapping a ticket card on the readers at the ends of the rides, so they're still not a necessity.

Multiple times a day, someone asks me "So what do the bracelets do?" and I pick up a ticket card, slap it against my watch, and say "It's just wearing your ticket on your wrist." I'm never on the list of top MagicBand sales, lol.
