Why don't we get respect?

C'mon guys? On other posts that i have replied to on other boards i have been "attacked" or ridiculed by other adults like i have no opinion...and when i do it is wrong!!! We may be young but no much more than they think exspecialy on certian issuses. All i ask is they hear us out and give us a chance to express our opinions too. If they don't agree with it it's wrong to say well your only *your age* and you don't know anything! It's ok to diagree with us but in a polite manner. i meen when i do post on more "adult" threads the teens seem to be much more mature in there responses than many of the adult are. I'm just trying to say we have thought too.....respect them!!!!!!!!! ............ does anyone else know what i'm talking about?

i think that is because SOME people are stuck back in the time when they were teenagers, and don't realize that times have changed. But there are ALOT of cool adults and parents that i know out there.. and i give them lots of respect because they treat me with the same kind.

I talked to Dan Murphy on the phone 2day and he said how much he really does like us kids and how wonderful we are...come on guys! we got Dan Murphy on our side, who else do we truely need? lol

But it does make me mad when people look down at as... everyone was a teenager at one time! These are suposed to be the best times of our lives.. im going to take advantage of that, but by being safe at the same time

I dont think some parents remember what its like being a teen... And i am not say everone does that but it is nice when you treat us with a little respect! cause if i didnt have that in my house i would die!

I'm a parent who just happened to see this while looking for a discussion on Common Grounds. I can tell you from reading that discussion yesterday, the opinions voiced by the teens there were some of the most mature and honest comments I've seen. Besides, I like to hear you guys talk about Disney, since you tend to have that wide-eyed wonder that makes the rest of us all feel young again.

i know exactly what you are talking about. it doesn't just happen on message boards either though. like everyone else has said not all adult are like that but there are a good number of them. it makes me really mad. its good to know that someone will listen and actually wants us to keep talking like JulesMom and gometros. especially since i seem to post more at the disney cruise mb and the debate boards vs. the teen board. not that i don't like it here cause i love it on this board as well.

I am respectful to everyone and they treat me like an adult and not like a kid. Wish my parents did that
