Why doesn't anyone talk about Frontera Cocina at Disney Springs?

I have heard NO feedback about this restaurant. The DIS Unplugged hasn't mentioned it at all. No one talks about it on the boards. I've seen no dining reviews. Has anyone tried it yet? I would have thought it would be pretty popular since Mexican food is hard to come by at WDW. I've never eaten at one of Rick Bayless' restaurants but I buy a lot of Frontera branded Mexican food items and cook with them and they have all been outstanding (fajita sauce, taco sauces, salsas).

What's the deal?

My sister and I tried it in February. We both enjoyed it. We shared one of the guacamole and chips and 2 entrees. The margaritas were excellent.

DH and I have eaten there twice now and we love it! The first time we went, we didn't have high expectations and it surpassed them. Then when we went again last month, it was even better than the first time. We ordered the queso fundido for our appetizer and then I got the carne asada tacos and he got the chicken tacos for dinner. For dessert, we shared the quattro leches cake which was so yummy too! Usually when we do a Disney vacation, our first night has always traditionally been Raglan Road but now that's got some tough competition because Frontera Cocina has become an equal fave for us.

We ate there last week for dinner and it was delicious. There were 5 of us and we all loved our food - chicken, shrimp, tacos, bacon gaucamole, refried black beans, fried plantains. It was hard to choose from the menu - so many things sounded so good. Our server was great. The shopping at Disney Springs was overwhelming wasn't appealing to me, but I'd go back there just for this restaurant.

I'll join the chorus. Have only eaten there once, but I can't wait to go back. Really enjoyed my food. (During lunch time in January it was mostly empty, so things were fairly quiet, but my service was very good. besides the excellent food, I really enjoyed the ambiance and the view, courtesy of a window seat with a view of the springs.)

I absolutely love his little Tortas Frontera booth at Chicago O'Hare. Every time we have a layover there I'm calculating if we have time to run over there for a margarita and tortilla soup. I will definitely check this place in Disney Springs out.

It has actually been talked about quite a bit. Not as much as some of the "headliners" but it has had many reviews here

We ate there in December and it was nice. But compared to what I was expecting from Rick Bayless, I would give it a meh. I was far more impressed with Morimoto Asia. But it is a nice atmosphere and the prices aren't bad.

We really enjoyed it. I had the guacamole and the shrimp entree. I wouldn't hesitate to go back.

I ate there for late lunch in March. I had the shrimp Enchiladas. Really big portion size.
They were really tasty, but I felt there was a bit much sauce on them.
My server was great. I was celebrating my birthday and he gave me a plantain sundae and lit a candle.
The ppl sitting at the table next to me sang happy birthday to me. They were so nice!

I wondered the same thing exactly. I never hear it mentioned here. I am a margarita snob, and the margaritas were excellent here. Went for lunch and sat at the bar. Bartender was excellent with a good attitude which is another sticking point for me, I hate it when bartenders are not personable. Had the shrimp salad and the shrimp was perfectly grilled. Highly recommend.

I loved our dinner there!

DD#2 and I shared the chips and salsa. She had the chicken tacos, and I had the Red Chile Chicken Enchiladas.

We had dinner there about two weeks ago. Sat outside on the back patio, lovely seating if the weather is good. The food was excellent! We will definitely be back.

I ate there recently with a friend and it was delicious! We had the queso fundido and carne asada tacos with margaritas. So, so fresh and yummy.

We did it in September. AWESOME food! I had the grilled chicken tacos. So so good.
