Why does it seem that MS is the last to have any information?

Hi all,

It is widely posted on other parts of the boards that CRO has been telling people that the tickets for MNNSHP are to be released tomorrow. However, I have called DVC twice about this, and they know nothing. Today the CM checked with a supervisor who likewise said they have no information.

I told the CM that CRO (or whatever it is called now) is confirming that they will be out tomorrow, and that was news to her. In fact, she said I would probably be better off calling them tomorrow.

What's up with that?:confused3

Until there is a DVC member discount ticket announced (no word at this point) I wouldn't expect MS reps to necessarily know anything about it.

Even though folks like us tend to follow all Disney theme park developments--particularly when they are key to an upcoming trip--we can't expect every CM to have the same level of interest. The sale of MNSSHP tickets is meaningless to a DVC CM until they have to facilitate discount pricing.

I agree there are times when communications break down, but I'm not sure this is one of them. Disney employs tens-of-thousands of CMs and to many of them it's just a job.

Disney is a big company and like all big companies sharing information between departments is a slow process. I understand that dates and ticket info have been released. Look for them in other posts.

I called this morning and had no problems getting tickets and they had all the information. I would guess that it is a deal where it shows up on their computer and all is good to go, but until it actually shows up they don't have the information.

I called on Friday at 407 WDW DISNE and got order my tickets for 10/28 and they had an advance purchase price of $7.00 off. We always go to WDW Hallloween week so there are no DVC discounts. Check with that number because they should be able to help you.

While I understand how exciting it is to complete another item on the planning checklist, it really isn't necessary to buy MNSSHP & MVMCP tickets this early. Neither sells out until much closer to the date of the party, and technically they are nonrefundable tickets. (Although some have reported that they were allowed to return/exchange them, it is quite hassle to do so). The earlier you buy, the greater the chance that your plans may change.

FWIW, it's often easier to just wait a few weeks after the initial release to buy these tickets. At that point nearly all of the MS CMs will know what's going on.

To get the DVC discounted dates, you'll have to use the "Will Call" option, (so that you can show a CM your membership card to prove you are entitled to the discount). That means you have to keep track of a confirmation number.
