Why does Disney hate Canadians lol

So I'm a little annoyed with Disney right now.. I went to apply for a Disney Visa rewards card and guess what! Thats right i cant apply because I dont have a US address to send it to!!

And Same with thier maps!

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!

The Disney Visa is offered through Chase Banks. The financing of it -- and who can get it -- really has nothing to do with Disney per se.

That being said, if the Disney Marketing machine wanted us to have access, they would have approached one of our big banks too

The reason they don't send the free maps is because they courier everything they send to Canada. It would cost way to much to send them.

I know what you mean. I wanted a Disney cell phone and Canadians are not eligible.

It isn't only Disney. Most US credit card companies who offer air miles for the airlines we tend to use (meant as US airlines) will not issue to a non-US-resident either. The one that really annoys me is Choice Hotels. I have a "frequent flyer" card for every major hotel chain, except Choice, who own Clarion, Comfort Inn, Sleep Inn, etc. and Choice is the only hotel that offers me a government discount. I guess you take the good with the bad.

OTOH I wonder how many Canadian businesses also only provide services to Canadians and not other nationalities. It's the kind of thing you wouldn't know about unless it directly affects you.

I can't help with the visa, but i did get my hands on most of there maps!

And there's a new DVC contest with the grand prize being a stay at the Cinderella suite. Open only to residents of the 50 continental states.

Torontogal the map link that is posted is not an official Disney site so it can not be the same maps. Canadians can go to the official site, customize the maps the way they want but can not order them. The best that we can do is print them out at home.

Most of the maps were submitted from different members. I have not gotten the maps that were sent in the mail so i am not sure if they are the same or not!

I know a couple of the maps listed there are park maps that they give out at the theme parks!
