Why do you go to Disney? Why not some other place?

This begs the question I've wanted to ask many people: Why don't you ever go to Disney? I have several friends who would never take their family to Disney. They may or may not have visited WDW themselves in the past.
But I ask, Why not try it? At least once? For the kids? Nope, they won't do it. I'm mystified. :confused3

To answer your original question: We do Disney every 3 or 4 years--partly because there are a lot of other places we want to visit; partly cause when we do Disney, we $$$DO$$$ Disney; and partly cause we have a camper and were doing a lot of camping vacations. But we will always (eventually) come back to Disney as it is the most magical place to be. The real world stops the moment we step on property. :cloud9:

We go for a few reasons.
1. Fun, Fun, Fun!
2. IMO, it's the best vacation spot for small children. There is plenty for them to enjoy, baby station are very clean, strollers are always available, it's child friendly. Other destinations that we want to try are not as child friendly.
3. There is always something to do.
4. Almost always nice weather (at least, when we go).
5. WDW does a good job in accomodating special needs children.
:flower:

I can say I do go other places. Some of my favorites would be Myrtle Beach, Gatlinburg, the Gulf Coast, and the Space Coast. I will admit though, that even when I go to these other places, I am still thinking about being at Disney. When I am not there, I feel like I am missing something.

I do go other places. DH and I cannot afford to visit Disney as much as many of you DISers do. :( I'm okay with that though, because the LESS I go to Disney the more special it is each and every time we go because something is ALWAYS different. :teeth:

I think if you have not been and experienced Disney how can you say Why.
Exactly.
I have found that those that ask me this question- are all people who have never gone. We do go other places for vacation- but by far we go to WDW more frequently than other places. If they went- maybe they'd know why. (that's what I tell them because I've given up trying to explain. Most people who know me well already know I've been a Disney/Mickey Mouse fan since practically birth... so this is just evolution for me. Finally able to go to WDW in my adulthood- and haven't got my fill of it yet. Probably never will. LOL I'm going with kids now- I see me going with grandkids in the future. Till they pry my cold dead hands off the entrance gate..... HAHA)
