Why do you care about a home resort?

I believe like the rest that you should consider buying were you would like to visit the most. Each of us DVCers have their own way of choosing but in the end you need to be happy with your choice. Don't depend on the booking windows so much as what suits you...Don't buy a one resort because of a better incentive, just buy were you consider it home! Just as noted, you can always waitlist, you first get your resi at the 11 mth window at your home resort and then if you like you can at the 7 mth change, if it not available waitlist. In many cases, except during really peak times (holidays) the waitlist will come through. With so many options to choose from each resort has their own personality and so do you so you choose who best suits you!

if u plan on switching resorts @ the 7 month window, u might want to go to planning board & read the thread re the new booking system...11 month + 7 days

jmho, it's going to make things more difficult @ 7 mo window guess we'll find out soon enough though

I bought HH because i felt like i could care less where i stay at WDW..when i add on i will add on at either BWV or OKW
BWV because its just my favorite place at WDW

Too funny! I bought where I want to stay because I don't trust the system. I didn't buy into the sales pitch on this 7 mos. ressie opportunities. The only thing certain, but still not guaranteed, is that you SHOULD be able to get your desired requests at your home resort. Nothing more. Should you get something else at 7 mos., your lucky.
