All caught up!

My last day is Aug 1!

When I read that part about you loving fast rides, all I could think was "fast rides for a fast girl":lmao:

I'm looking forward to trying Le Cellier on our next trip. Hope I'm not disappointed.
Fast rides for a fast girl? :rotfl2: That's right baby! Are you the one who called me a tramp in the chat?

You shouldn't be disappointed in Le Cellier. It was very good and we will definitely go back.

OK, you've succeeded in sucking me in, now I want more!!!

Can't wait to read about how the rest of your trip went. DH keeps asking me, how much can you actually read about Disney before you get sick of it??? :confused3 Yeah, he's a bit crazy, but I love him anyway. :rotfl:
I'm glad I sucked you in...does that sound right? :rotfl: Another hubby who just doesn't get it? I'm shaking my head right now.

I'm enjoying your TR. :thumbsup2
Thank you and I hope you continue to enjoy it!

I don't know why, but my hubby doesn't get it either. Of course, I don't understand how he can spend so much time on the Harley sites. Especially when he could be here:confused3

But ya gotta love em.

Hi fellow Virginian and Hokie fan! I just remembered I need to mapquest Crewe!

Note to DM--
:rolleyes1 I got the computer! All to myself!!:rotfl2:

I got caught up on Jo's PTR and Jen and Teras TR. Now I'm trying to catch up here, only to see that now I have to read Courtneys TR. I want to read Lauralee's and DIsneyDads and I want to start my own PTR. Can someone tell my boss he needs to give me some time off this week?

I was typing this last night as we all got shut down - you need to read mine, too! (I figure you have to be agressive around here! ;) ) It's done, and I do have an index on page one, if you want to skip the chat... :rolleyes1 Just sayin'... ;)

My last day is Aug 1!

WooHOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! I like being at home, but then, I never figured out what I wanted to be when I grow up. 35 isn't grown up, right? :) So, for now, SAHM is perfecto. :thumbsup2

Hi DM

Doubt I will be doing my own trip report this year, I am not so good on the computer, I STILL havent worked out how to do multi quotes and I think I have forgot how to post pics since the tutorial you gave me!
And my computer has the I,E,K and shift keys missing so I have to press extra hard on them to make them type and it drives me crazy well crazier!
So I will probably post some of the 400+ pics on the stalking thread.

Le Cellier Dinner

Hopes:
1. A good start with PhotoPass...:sad2:
2. A good peaceful dinner at Le Cellier...::yes::
3. A wonderful DIS meet in Epcot.
4. No blisters on my feet as I was wearing my Crocs Capris.
5. A meeting with the Dream Team.

Wants:
1. Ride Soarin’...:sad2:
2. Visit The Seas with Nemo...::yes::
3. Visit some countries with the kiddos.
4. A margarita from Mexico.

I last left you at the end of our appetizers. Brookie was still fast asleep in her stroller, which was very nice for us. Her waking at this point would not be pretty. She is a tiny bit cranky when she wakes up and wants to be held, making it hard to eat.

Onto our main entrée selections…

Alec is not so much into steak now. He wanted the hotdog with fries…
P1000682.jpg

He really liked it. That is, until the last quarter of the hotdog fell out of the bun and onto the floor. I could see that he was getting upset at that. He is my very sensitive child and tears come easy to him. I quickly told him that was okay because he could have another piece of pretzel bread. I had stopped him from eating them as he was eating just a bit too much. He was very happy that he could have some more.

Evan really wanted the kid’s sirloin steak. We asked Tamara if Evan could order the steak off the kid’s menu on the DDP without paying the extra $2 and she said absolutely. It came with some yummy looking fries. I don’t know if they were as I didn’t sample them…
P1000685.jpg

Evan immediately said that the steak smelled funny. Now, you need to know Evan. I think he has the most sensitive nose ever. He is always asking what stinks, smells…saying things like, “What is that DISGUSTING smell?” A lot of the times it is so exaggerated that we ignore him. Which is exactly what we did this time, except we reminded him that he wanted the steak and he should at least try it? He did try a piece and said it tasted awful. We told him to eat his fries. We weren’t that worried as he had quite a bit of Rob’s duck and he is not that big of an eater.

Did Rob & I order steak? You bet your dang tush we did! We ordered the same thing, except different. Okay, let me explain.

Rob ordered the 7-ounce Filet Mignon that comes with cream cheese mashed potatoes…
P1000686.jpg

…and I ordered the same filet except, because I’m not a big fan of mashed potatoes, I asked if I could substitute the roasted Yukon potatoes, which was no problem again…
P1000683.jpg

We both absolutely loved our filets. They cut like “buttah”. The maple barbecue sauce was not overpowering at all and added just a good flavor to the filet. I must say that I am not a person who ever puts sauces or anything on my steaks. I am usually happy with salt and pepper. But this was delicious! Rob really liked the mashed potatoes and I really liked my Yukon potatoes.

Nearing the end of our main entrees Brookie woke up but was still sleepy. So, into Daddy’s arms she goes…
P1000679.jpg

Wait! How bout a closer shot of the Sleeping Brookie?
P1000680.jpg

She gradually awoke and ate some of Rob’s potatoes and some bread. She also had a couple bites of the filet.

Okay. Now here’s the sad part. Evan’s steak was sitting there with only one bite eaten so I decided to try it. Well, it tasted horribly awful and it did smell funny. I felt like the worst mommy at that point. I had Rob try it to make sure it wasn’t me and he agreed. We should have listened to Evan and maybe he could have gotten either something else or a new steak. But we were all done with the entrees at that point and ready for dessert. Next time I will take the time to listen to Evan even if it turns out to be him just being dramatic about his "smells”. At least he was looking forward to dessert…

Here, have a glance at the dessert menu and try to guess what Rob & I each ordered. We each ordered something different…

Next installment...June 23...Epcot...Le Cellier desserts

I was so excited to see your update, b/c I just got a dinner ressie at Le Cellier for Oct. 11th! Tonight is a night for rejoicing and dancing! :dancer: We get dinner after all, so I loved seeing your pictures of the steak, but my gosh, woman, how can you not like mashed potatoes? LOL just kidding! The Yukons looked quite yummy, too, and I bet my DH will want that b/c I can see him thinking that mashed potatoes go with meatloaf, not filet.

Your Brooke is just like our DD used to be when she woke up; you would have to hold her another 30 minutes so the princess would not turn into Malificent! That's too bad about your son's steak :sad1: ; maybe he won't bring it up in ten more years and say, "Mom, remember when I couldn't eat that rancid steak, and you just made me eat fries?":rotfl:

Man those steaks look great! Well, not Evan's since now I know it was weird... If it makes you feel any better... My mom once thought I was whining and complaining because it was hot and I ended up passing out with heat stroke.:scared: But I was okay and your Evan is okay so no harm done!

I can tell you what dessert I would have wanted... Creme Brulee sampler. I'm drooling over that one!

Great update!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Yum! I got a little turned off steak with my pregnancy and still haven't quite gotten back all the way, but those look yummy. I like a well prepared sauce, as long as it's not drowning the steak!

But, yeah. Mashed potatoes and cheese about tie for my favorite foods ever, so you put them together and I would have eaten Rob's and anyone else's nearby! :rolleyes1

You didn't learn that keep em wanting more from me! No way no how!

And now I'm hungry!

I'll take two of the chocolate mousses (moussi??)

Did you tell them about his steak?? You should have gotten a credit on the DDP--do they ever do that?

I'm glad you liked this update with my steak pics. My mouth still waters looking at that meal. Oh my goodness, that is too funny the comment you made about what Evan may say in 10 years! I'm hoping he forgot about it now. But knowing him, he'll bring it up at the strangest time...

Don't they look scrumptious? And I had Wendy's for dinner tonight...:upsidedow

Talk about heat stroke! That so happened to me as a kid in Washington DC with my parents. We were in the Lincoln Memorial and I kept saying that I was very hot and not feeling well. My dad was getting extremely irritated with me and told me to sit on the floor. Finally I told my mom that was going to be sick. She ran me to the bathroom where I continued to throw up and almost pass out. But did my dad feel bad for me? Nope...he was upset that I ruined the return time to visit the Washington Monument. He just didn't get it back then. Sweetheart now but not so much back then.

So, you'd choose the creme brulee, eh?

That's a long time to be turned off of steak! I always loved steak. Pork, on the other hand, totally made me sick when I was prego - and no bacon was allowed in this house at all! I still don't like the smell of bacon but I'll suffer through it because the rest of the family likes it.

Know what kind of mashed potatoes I like? The kind either from a box or mashed so much that there is not one lump in it. I HATE LUMPS!!!

No, I think you got it from me...;) But I absolutely loved your cliff hanger tonight!

Chocolate mousse....ahhhhh! ;)

I did tell our CM about the steak at the end of the meal and she apologized but did not offer anything. We never really emphasized the issue tho as we didn't even think about it. That would have been a good idea to get a credit for it. Wish I thought of that then but I don't blame the CM for it.
