Thank you. The "fancy hair ornament" was really just a Cinderella hair clip that I found at Claire's Boutique (which is basically a shop that has tons of costume jewelry and items more intended for the younger ones, although I have been known to buy toe rings there).

I actually meant the YOMD looked like it was something on her head :) But the hair clip looks nice on her, too. And by the way, we have Claire's Boutique shops in Germany as well :yay:

Did you like the "dream along" show?? I loved it--next time I want to be in front if possible. Are they keeping it around for a while?
Uhm, er, uhm, well....I didn't really watch the show. I was busy admiring Brookie watching it and just taking in the whole atmosphere. I'm not really into shows like that. Sorry!

Very cute pic of Brookie in her cinderella gown! Can't wait for more.:)
Thank you. Update tomorrow morning or tonight.

Great update DM. I completely sympathize with the dead weight reference and Stitch always wakes up as soon as we stop the car:sad2:
We moms all know about them sleeping kids. Power to us!!! Things we never thought we could do, we do!

I'm joining in a little late, but I'm loving it so far! I sat and read the whooole thing last night!
You have a beautiful family, and Brookie is just precious! Her little princess gown is just too cute!
I can't wait to read more!

Never too late to join in. I hope I made it easy enough for you to catch right up! And thank you for the wonderful compliments on my family! More coming up either tonight or tomorrow morning.

Great updates DM, I used your snazzy links on page 1 so missed the chit chat :faint: I'm so jetlagged that I can't for the life of me remember what I wanted to say but I know I enjoyed them sorry  I'll multi quote your next installment, promise :rotfl:
I totally understand you skipping the chat Jo! I have to do that to a lot of TRs also as I have been getting behind lately. So if you ever make reference to me and I don't respond, it's because I totally blew you off! :lmao: I am soooo looking forward to your TR!!!

Oh! Well, silly old me. I was wondering how you saw her hair clip so well. I just thought that you were very detailed in viewing my pictures! And you have Claire's Boutiques in Germany also? I guess you're not as 3rd world as I thought! :rotfl2: No seriously, I did know they were a chain but I didn't realize they were international. It's a fun place for cheap jewelry and I tend to not wear too much. But I like toe rings for my sexy feet! :rolleyes1

:3dglasses I was quite surprised that this is an international chain, too! I like the idea of toe rings, I always thought I would be too old for them... But if a respectable mother of three lovely kids can wear them...

What a sweet installment. Thanks for all the details on the CRT stuff. I just bought a Cinderella dress for my middle daughter to wear and made her an outfit for after we eat. (Details on my PTR- link in the signature, peeps. Anyone? ) Sorry, DM- I don't know what came over me!!!

We're doing a girls only breakfast one morning . Right before we go I have appt at the BBB in the castle. I can't wait!
Can't wait to read more!!! :surfweb:

I'm back on board, stressed but I'm back. I love her gown.
Welcome back! I thought you had abandoned my TR. Things will get better as time goes on with college. You've already been there...:flower3:

Who said I was respectable? :rotfl2: I think toe rings are pretty cool. I'm 41 and don't feel old wearing them. My grandma in California (who is 83 years old) wears them....:confused3

You are an awesome mom!
Thank you very much. I knew I liked you best.....:goodvibes (but don't tell the rest).

Are you pimping out your PTR on my, my, MY thread?????? :rotfl:

I will try to get over to your PTR. I was trying not to sub to any more PTRs right now as I haven't been very good keeping up with the ones I am subbed to. I really love to stay dedicated to the TRs. I will try to get over to your PTR though to check it out. But you can definitely count on me when you return and start your TR!!! :thumbsup2 The BBB sounds like such a wonderful thing to do with girls. Brookie was too young (have to be 3) and plus they didn't have one in the MK yet. Next time I will definitely have to do it with her and I know she'll love it. She loves me painting her nails and putting blush and lip gloss on her. So, I will especially love your TR!

Tuesday, June 26...DownTown Disney
Sassagoula River Cruise

Hopes:
1. More PhotoPass pictures taken...:sad2:
2. Rob, Evan & Alec have a great boys day...:dance3:
3. Brooke & I have a great girls day...:flower3:
4. My feet feel better with the blisters...:sad1:
5. A meeting with the Dream Team

Wants:
1. A good lunch at Cinderella’s Royal Table...princess:
2. Have a good short rest at the resort in the afternoon...:)
3. A good dinner at Raglan Road in DownTown Disney with the whole family.

We had a 7 pm ADR at Raglan Road for dinner. But we wanted to spend a bit of time in DownTown Disney to do a bit of shopping and wandering. So we headed on down to the DownTown Disney ferry.
18toboat.jpg

As the rest of the Welch clan walked ahead, I took my time with my “hurty” feet and took a couple of scenic pictures of Port Orleans Riverside. Looking down the river toward the Alligator Bayou section...

The famous water mill at Riverside Mill with the family up ahead...
P1000843.jpg

We boarded the boat and made our journey down the river. I looked over and saw Parterre Place. Rob & I stayed here before the kiddos back in 1997. See the big tree on the right? Our room was on the 2nd floor behind it. Thrilling, I know!
P1000844.jpg

Another picture of Parterre Place. These rooms are definitely the water view rooms but I wouldn’t pay extra for these. I don’t think it’s worth it unless you have a balcony to enjoy it. But to each his/her own.
P1000845.jpg

Evan enjoyed watching the scenes quietly.
P1000846.jpg

Brookie, on the other hand, was a bit mischievous.
P1000848.jpg

See the tongue on this girl? She does NOT get it from me!! I am sure it must be from her father, Gene Simmons! :lmao:
P1000850.jpg

After a quick stop at the French Quarter, it was only about 20 minutes or so ride to DownTown Disney, I think. I don’t really remember but it was a nice ride. We passed by the old Disney Tree Houses. These tree houses looked so bad. I believe college CMs live there now and a lot of them are slobs. You could see right into their living quarters and they were really messy. This treehouse was one of the better ones.
P1000847.jpg

We arrived at DownTown Disney and wondered where to go. We decided on the World of Disney where I bought some kid jewelry for my brother’s step-daughter. Evan bought a really cool, pretty big dinosaur. Alec didn’t see anything he wanted. I didn’t get anything for myself. Imagine that!

We went into Once Upon a Toy and looked around for awhile and the kids wanted to buy everything. So we told them we would come back here after our dinner. After a bit more of walking, around our tummies started grumbling and it was only just before 6:30 pm. We decided to walk over to Raglan Road to see if they could take us in earlier...

Next installment...June 25...DownTown Disney...Sitting Down at Raglan Road

I was just going to bed when i saw this. I LOVE the pics. I miss that place. POR is great. I may have to do some rethinking about the March/April trip.

Anyway great update. :thumbsup2

it's because I totally blew you off!
I'm gonna save this quote to remind you which friend you like best, Jo!;)

Hmm...I didn't even know Claire's was that big in the US. BA really likes that store--on her 9th birthday, we took her friends to the mall and gave them each $ to spend at Claires. They loved it and I felt it was better that goodie bags. (i like the earrings too......never tried the toe ring thing but then I don't even like flip-flops between my toes!)

Trip report newbie here. And lucky you, yours is the first one I have read. I am loving it!! Thank you for all the pics and info. I love your family and the fun you all are having. I can not wait for more.

That boat ride sounds nice and relaxing and you took some great pictures along the way!
Yes. We really enjoyed the ferry ride to DTD. It sure beats the bus for something different, especially on a hot summer night!

PS...I still think that SexyBeast is one of your brothers. Notice that they only posted on your thread and are "covering their tracks". Keep a watch out!

Glad I could keep you up! You took the ferry, right? Wasn't it nice and relaxing?

Just imagine the lind of trouble Brooke's tongue could get her into:lmao:
And the "kind" of trouble too....;)

Love the boat ride.
Ah, it was nice!

Like whatever TE. Did YOU speak directly to Jo during her vacation? I think not! :rotfl2: I'm a big flops girl and wear them until it practically snows. I love to have naked feet....

DM-cool pics of boat ride. What is Parterre Place?
Parterre Place is one of the mansions in Port Orleans Riverside.

I feel honored that my TR is your first. I am glad you are enjoying it and I'll try my best to keep it interesting. Thank you so much for posting your wonderful comments!

Hey DM! I wanted to stay at POR on our upcoming trip but really couldnt afford it. I will definitly stay there next time...its so pretty. The boat ride looked like fun, I never knew there were "disney houses" or places collage students stayed :confused3 Shows how much I know about disney;)

LOL- you need to be calling Gene simmons and let him know he has another beautiful little girl-with a tongue like that she'd be hard for him to deny :rotfl:

Hey Dm, Great update. We are considering POR for next year and you are really making the case for us to stay there:thumbsup2

Yes. We really enjoyed the ferry ride to DTD. It sure beats the bus for something different, especially on a hot summer night!

That is how I felt about the boat ride to the Magic Kingdom. It is a nice change from the bus but not something I would take every time.

PS...I still think that SexyBeast is one of your brothers. Notice that they only posted on your thread and are "covering their tracks". Keep a watch out!

:rotfl: It really wouldn't surprise me if that were true. I guess we will just have to wait and see. They sure got a kick out of the whole thing last night. Erich had a friend come over and told him that somebody on the Dis thought he was a stud and Jessie's response was that he must have been posting false pictures of himself.:lmao:

Gene Simmons....LOL :lmao:

that cracked me up. Great update, DM! Can't wait to hear about Raglan Road! I'll bet they let you in early...
