I'm back! Had a great trip, and I figured out how to add the link to my TR, so I expect to see you there soon. You can see all the lessons I learned from reading all these fabulous TR's, including how to do a cliffhanger!

I have about 400 posts to catch up on yours, so may take a bit of time. I will catch up though, even if my family starves to death!

Somewhere way back when you asked when I went to college. I graduated in 1980 from college, so I am OLD! No, not old, experienced, that's the word I want.

We went to see the Doobie Brothers my first year in college, and Disco was IN! OK! I will not torture you all with the pics.

Monday, June 25...Animal Kingdom
Extra Magical Hours part 1


Hopes:

1. A good breakfast at Donald’s Breakfastosaurus...
2. Ride Expedition Everest with Laura at park opening...
3. Ride Dinosaur...
4. Have a good rest at the resort in the afternoon...
5. Return to Animal Kingdom in the evening for EMH...aw:

We were well rested and where did we want to go? Back to the Animal Kingdom, of course. So we trodded on down to the bus stop and waited for our bus back to the Animal Kingdom...

There was only a handful of people on the bus. Normally the bus goes to Blizzard Beach first and then Animal Kingdom. The bus driver asked if anyone was going to BB and no one was so we went straight to the AK. We had no set plans on where to go. (Shhh ... Tracy did not just read that one.) We really did not even care. We knew we were going to eat a light dinner there and go on whatever we possibly could since it was EMH. We got to the AK sometime after 6 pm.

We picked up our double stroller and headed over to Dinosaur. I was determined to go on it no matter what. No way was I going to miss it again.

When we got there Evan said he would go on Dinosaur with me but Alec said, “Nope. I just don’t wanna.” Fine with me. I got to go and with a riding partner! Evan was not scared at all and he warned me about every single “scary” moment coming up. Thanks Ev! After Dinosaur Evan wanted to buy something for himself but I told him to wait until we met up with Daddy. When I approached the stroller, this is what I saw...

So I offered to watch Brooke while Rob & Evan went back to the gift shop. Evan came back with a glow-in-the dark dinosaur. It was cute and it was on sale. Score!

Let’s see...where did we want to go to next? Oh heck, we decided to check out the line for Expedition Everest.

But on the way we saw this cute little blue dino near Primeval Whirl and Brookie wanted to get her picture with it. There was no real line and kids were running up here and there while I patiently tried to wait. Finally, I had enough and just walked Brooke right up to the dino and asked another kid approaching to please wait while I took a picture. I said PLEASE! Gee...after all that you’d think she would smile at least. Or maybe she was just as frustrated as I was.

So onward to Expedition Everest and ..... no way Jose! Line said 90 minutes and I said not worth that long a wait. We already rode it so we didn’t really care.

Then we heard the beating of the drums.... Oh we had to stop there. And the kids had a blast playing with them! Hey, there's a lady with a lime green shirt on with a lime green something-a-nuther. Wonder if she's a DISer...? I don't really know.

Trust me...Evan did have a blast with it. It just doesn’t show. You mothers out there know what I’m talking about!!! Right all you mamas? Even little Brookie had to join in...

And now it’s time to debut my newest professional drummer.....ALEC! Watch his most cool moves as he plays the drums...

So when we were all drummed out we kept heading toward Africa. But then we came to a complete stop before we got there...

You know that in my neck of the woods...crap is equivalent to stuff. I love how people always write carp...like it's a bad word. It's sooooo not a bad word here!

I will answer all of you later but first I wanted to post a pic I took of myself this morning. I colored my hair and "intense red". I'm a bit freaked out at the moment. I know in 2 weeks it will be much lighter but I just thought I'd show you all. A few things to point out:

1. Lovely cheap mop sitting on the railing of my deck. Do you think I put it there?
2. Notice my cute freckles.
3. Oops! Bra is showing!
4. Dead trees between our yard and our neighbor's yard.
5. No smiling for me!

Not at all! Peds are those little, very low cut stocking like things that don't really show when you wear shoes -guess they're also called "footies" - I tried to put a link in here but it didn't work - Google "Peds" and you'll find them.

I'm glad I got to ride Dinosaur too. But, I think it's a one-time ride unless the kiddos want to do it again someday. It was no big deal for me. I think that blue dino is quite strange looking...kinda like DinoLand itself. Alec certainly is a little ham! Cliffhangers? he he.

Thank you. My hair was strawberry blonde and it always gets blonde around my face. I am hoping that it will fade down a tad but it's okay if it doesn't.

You're right about the crap/carp thing. I always say crap. In fact, my boys have started to say it but I don't really like it. I blame it on myself. It's much better than the S-H word anyday! But these boards made me second guess myself and start saying carp even though I don't like that one! And oooooh, I love the rrrroooooowwwwwwrrrrrr...psst...psst! It makes me purrrrrrrrrrr! And you can change your vote all you want but I'm sticking to the short updates. I love them that way.

Thanks Scott. I will try to do the black lipstick thing if I can find it. Today is definitely a no-no as I'm babysitting my 6-month-old niece and that would probably not be a good idea with that type of makeup. Did you watch all those shows in the 80s? I used to watch Dynasty sometimes but I'm trying to remember what exactly I used to really watch. I know Miami Vice was a biggie for me. Was Quantum Leap in the 80s? I LOVED that show!
