I am seeing that now, but then maybe people shouldnt dislike the stickers because unless it is your school, that may be a huge accomplishment at some schools.
And I will say it again that I would be annoyed if my kids' school did not have a high bar for honor roll to make it truly mean something.
And for those against public bragging, are you against it being published that your child accomplished X by someone else but you are not allowed to say it yourself

?
I guess I am thinking of my own situation which I will admit I have struggled with...if it was bragging or not. So forgive me if I sound like I am bragging for a bit. DS14 won two scholarships to two private HSs. One was a huge deal. I thought the schools would contact his current school to let them know he won. Well neither did. I mentioned it to the principal mainly bc he could not sit for a 3rd test if he accepted scholarship #1. She then ran with it and published EVERYWHERE! DS14 got called up during assembly and received congrats for everyone.
If I had not "bragged" Ds would never been acknowledged for his huge accomplishment. Then when scholarship #2 came in we have struggled with letting anyone know. Some know bc of how the results came home to the kids but there has not been the same fanfare.
So in the case above, I should have only congratulated my son, and only told close family and friends according to some...am I understanding that correctly?
