Why do McCain's swing state ads all look the same?

They all look like the same, dark, colorless attempt to "scare" me. Halloween MAY be just around the corner, but puh-leeeze! If I hear "How Dangerous" one more time I am going to lose it!

How lame, how unoriginal, how desperate!

Someone needs to shoot some sunshine up the *** of whoever is creating these stupid commercials for him!

I couldn't tell you. I live in FL and it's been weeks since I have seen a McCain ad. I have yet to receive even one flyer in the mail. I thought he wanted my vote?:confused3

I live in NC and it's still a toss-up here, so we've seen plenty of them. They're awful! My husband and I saw one this morning right before the 7:00 a.m. news and we cracked up: The "Obama Bad Judgment" one. The republicans have also been calling the house night and day and leaving recordings on the answering machine. Yeah, that makes me want to vote republican.

I'm really surprised by that since it's so close there. Maybe they want to spend their money in S. Fla instead of N. Fla, where the vote is more republican?

BTW, I lived in Tallahassee for ten years and went to FSU for undergrad. I love North Florida.

They all look like that in Missouri, too. I guess they were cheaper in bulk.

And we have always wanted to live where you live now!!

I actually work part time at FSU. It's growing by leaps and bounds. We are finally getting to the time of year when the weather turns nice and we are glad we suffered through another hot summer in order to get to here!

I dunno....maybe because he forgot to walk around the kitchen table three times before singing "I'm A Yankee Doodle Dandy in Latin"?

My favorite is still the "How dangerous!" It's so ridiculous. Every time it comes on I just say "b**** please" lol

I think Ohio has turned the corner. Out ads are fewer and fewer. When we DO get them, the McCain ads are still dark and threatening. The Obama ads are bright and colorful with upbeat messages. It's an amazing contrast and one future campaigns should note.

We all might start seein' less of McCain:

The Republican National Committee, growing nervous over the prospect of Democrats’ winning a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate, is considering tapping into a $5 million line of credit this week to aid an increasing number of vulnerable incumbents, top Republicans say.

With party strategists fearing a bloodbath at the polls, GOP officials are shifting to triage mode, determining who can be saved and where to best spend their money

“They should pull the money from *McCain like [former RNC Chairman] Haley Barbour did in ’96, when Dole slid away, and funnel it to save some Senate and House seats as best they can,” said one longtime GOP strategist who is working on congressional races.

“There are seven or eight [seats in danger],” a top Republican said of the upper chamber. “What’s it going to be a week from now?” Party officials see GOP Senate seats at risk in North Carolina, Kentucky, New Hampshire, Colorado, Minnesota, Mississippi, Alaska, Oregon and Georgia.

The financial situation for Sen. Elizabeth Dole (R-N.C.) has gotten so precarious that she has announced she will be spending her own money on the campaign. Democratic third-party groups have spent millions attacking her as an ineffective senator, and her poll numbers have cratered.

It's interesting that Elizabeth Dole was given as one of the examples. It appears at this point that her campaign is spending more $ than her challenger. We're getting a mailing from her about every other day, and most of them are paid for by PACs instead of her campaign. They also are extremely negative -- very different from the campaign that put her in office. We've not received anything from the challenger, but they are both buying a lot of TV and radio advertising.

I haven't seen any McCain ads in S. Florida.
