Why do doctors do this??

They tell you to wait for a phone call with results, then they say they don't make the phone calls till the end of the day , that's fine, but then at the end of the day they don't call?? I have been waiting all day for her phone call with dd's bloodwork results so we can figure out what her allergy is , at 6:30 pm the doctor was still in the office , I know because I called. I just called again and the office is closed!! I will be there at 8:15 tomorrow morning and they better get me an answer! Sorry but that really ticks me off!

Just hoping that MAYBE that doctor will still call. I have had that happen....the ofice says closed, but I still got a call. Sure hope you get a call tonight

I think jamsmom might be on to something! I've got calls way after hours before when my wife was ill. But just too be sure maybe you should jog his memory by calling his answering service

I did , and they said they don't know what doctor would call me back....I bet you anything nobody will call!

It's amazing to me, that a patient can be on pins & needles, waiting for results, and they're so uninspired to follow thru!

I, too, have had the experience that the doctor returns calls into the evening. So, don't give up hope!

Well , when we are expecting the results to start treatment , you bet I'm going to be on their case. I just got a call from the doctor on call, sure enough my daughter's doctor is gone home for the day so I have to wait till tomorrow morning. Guess what?? at 8:15 am I will be in the office in person and she better come out to talk to me, I won't be waiting around a whole day again.
