Why did you buy a DVC at a resort that contract ends in 2042??

:) We bought AKV becasue it was AKV and where we wanted to stay--cost and end year were not the deciding factors. I could calculate how old I will be but in the end it doesn't matter cuz I am enjoying what I have now.

It is very difficult to get pricing and understand the way DVC works when you are on the outside trying to understand if this is something you want. I thought it was terrible and had it not been for the threads here I would have never figured out how much DVC would have cost me. I wanted to know the details before I called "my guide". Other websites with info are DVCNews.com and the DVC Guide from Pass Porter.

I know you asked a specific question initially--but these sites may help you get more information which in turn will make you more comfortable.

It doesn't matter how many times you post the same question--sometimes you have to word things 100 ways to trully understand a concept. If you have a question, ask it, there are lots of helpful people on the DVC Forums.

If you love a resort and you fill at home there--you won't feel it anywhere else. Sure another resort may be nice, near an attraction, have a special restaurant but if it isn't home--it just isn't going to be as "welcoming".
