Why did we plan out this entire trip?! A 2nd Honeymoon Report...sorta.The End. 5/21

Hooray for Day 2!

Sounds awesome! I soooo want to go this year! :goodvibes

You should! It's sooooo great.

Kat soooo glad Day 2 was so much better !!!

Me too!

What a relaxing way to spend the day. I got relaxed just reading your update. Food, friends a bit of alcohol.....ahhhhhhhhh:cloud9:

It was really the best day ever!

:headache: no photos for me, back later :thumbsup2

figures.

What a lovely day:goodvibes

It really was!

They're there now, that was quick :rotfl:

Sounds like a lovely day and how fantastic you got to meet Michelle and V, they're both lovely aren't they :)

Wow you 2 tried lots of the foods and I'm glad the QSDDP helped you :goodvibes

Yay! I had so much fun with Michelle and V! And the QS plan wasn't so bad, just not what we had planned.

The food looks so good! I need to go for F&W.

I think everyone needs to go at least once!

I'm so glad for you that you had such a nice time around World Showcase. All the foods you tried looked yummy!

They were!

Hi Kat!!!

Hiya!

Wow, I had not realized you ended up going. I had followed your 2 ptr's and then the one ended and you said things weren't going well, and you guys weren't going.
I'm glad you have gotten things worked out, and your trip looks like it got better after that rocky start. I tell you what, I try to keep my mouth undercontrol and am pretty nice, but I think at that point I would've lost it and lost of not so nice words would've been flying out of my mouth! LOL!

Hey! Great to see you! It truly was a struggle not to go all "New York" on them but luckily we were able tpo make the best of it!

Hey,
It is sort of like Christmas in January, I keep finding these neat TR's, that I never saw before, (maybe I need to pay more attention

Hi Kat!!!

HI you two!

Any updates soon??? :goodvibes

I wanna say YES..... I almost did an update yesterday if that helps any. I have a few days home alone while KC works so hopefully soon for real.

HI!!! Yea it would be neat if I updated, right?! :)

We were headed back to POFQ after a wonderful morning with our DIS friends and some great food. The plan was to take a nice relaxing swim and discuss what the heck we were going to do about all the ADRs we had booked for the rest of the week. Of course along the way back to the room we took some pictures.

This is where we played a game of “Where’s KC”. Can you find him?

Now does everyone remember our friend the ninja who came with us? I was sitting on the chair and realized he wasn’t on the bed where we left him! I was freaking out and then we realized where he was….

I really didn’t see him there! We cracked up!! So every day we wondered where the ninja would be! I love mousekeeping!

We also had this waiting for us, which we left for the whole trip.

So the ADR discussion. The only meals we were really dead set on were Narcoossee’s(KC’s pick) and Boma (my pick). We psyched ourselves up for the counter service options and kept remembering that all the F&W plates were virtually free. We had yet to get anything that wasn’t a snack credit. I also had 3 CM coupons with different %’s off so we decided 3 meals with the coupons was ok. KC was really wanting to do Brown Derby as well so we decided to make that our 3rd. We cancelled everything else. No Cali Grill for me. We also left our Boma breakfast there and decided to see how we felt about it later in the week. Breakfast is cheap enough we figured if we wanted to still do it we could.

So that decided we went to the pool and relaxed a bit. It was about dinner time so it was nice and empty. We spent about an hour or so down there and headed back to the room to get dressed and decide where to go that night.
The one thing about not having ADRs was that we had a lot of leeway on where we went. So we decided to try and do the other side of F&W that we never made it to that afternoon.

We stopped for a PP pic on the way in.

First stop was Mexico City.
2457669940070748021S600x600Q85.jpg

We tried out the Taco de Conchinita Pibi. (Shredded pork taco) and it was spicy!

Next stop was Spain. We had the Taste of Spain (Serrano Ham, Chorizo, Manchego, Olives, Tomato Bread) Red Snapper Escabeche.

We were both surprised how meaty the fish was and the cheese plate was yummy too!

We stopped next at another fav, Poland. We had Kielbasa and Potato Pierogie.

Since we had a million quick service credits we decided to see what Norway had to offer. I had heard good things about the real food at the bakery. The offerings are amazing! It quickly became a new fav of ours!

For one credit we got a Norwegian Club, a large soup, large drink and an almond pretzel!

The sandwich had great bread and was really tasty. The soup was like a really thick potato soup. There were 4 (I think) choices of sandwich and it was either soup or a side salad. The desert was your choice of virtually anything in there! The drink was also the largest size. Really a great value for the meal. I also LOVE the seating area over there, its almost always quiet and it’s a nice place to relax at. We chilled there for a while and decided we were completely filled enough and headed to share some more food. (we did take the pretzel back to the room with us for later). OH and we got a school bread to go as well! I gotta have one every trip.

First a drink was in order. Our favorite drink in Epcot. A Peach Snap. Thank you China.

He loves his snap. :)

We wandered further into the showcase in search of new eats. Cape Town, South Africa was next. We had the Seared Beef Tenderloin. I think KC ate most of that one.

I had to give the spaetzle another go this year, because last year it fell flat for me. I thought since this year they were making it differently I’d like it better.

It was ok. Prob the worst thing we ate the whole time, and it wasn’t bad just kinda blah.

We caught the end of Taylor Hicks at the stage in America. But we had another destination, France. I had made plans with my friend from work for possibly seeing Illuminations so if we did meet up with them we needed to be in France. Turned out her and her hubby decided not to come to Epcot but we decided the gateway exit was easier than walking all the way to the front of the park.

We lucked out and most of the little tables set up next to the slushie booth were empty! We grabbed on right next to the water and settled in for the next half hour or so to wait for Illuminations.

KC wanted another plate of the short ribs so he went and got it while I kept the table. Those short ribs were frikkin amazing the second time too!I let KC take pics of Illuminations, because he’s better with moving stuff than me. Also we had a ncie sturdy railing to lean on for better stability!
He took a LOT of pics, these are the best ones!

We had the cutest little hispanic lady sit next to us while the show was going. She even asked me if I thought it was a good place to sit to see it. She was convinced it was and her family left her to sit there thinking they knew a better spot. At some point when a big bang happened she jumped out of her skin! I didn’t notice it tho, KC did. See I get very emotional EVERY time I see Illuminations. It reminds me of my mom, and how we came to WDW after she passed for the first NYE without her. The song always gets me. So poor KC was trying to hold me and wipe the tears while not laughing at the lady jumping like someone shot her.

We took the gateway boat over to the Studios and got the bus to POFQ there. We considered going in, it was EMH’s , but we were tired already and had big plans the next day. We got back to the room and I set us up for the next day with clothes and bags and what not and we were out cold around midnight.

Up Next: More visitors, and we convert an Anti Disney guy!!!!

What a great night. I'm glad all the drama of the checkin has seemingly become a distant memory!

I couldn't find KC either....

All that food is making me so hungry! I didn't know you could get real food in the bakery at Norway! It looks really good too. I wish I could get DH to go. I have so many dining experiences I NEED to try yet! LOL!

I'll have to repost it with a circle over him. He was very excited to run and hide in the photo.

An update! YAY! :woohoo:

I'm glad Day 2 was a much better day. :goodvibes

Illuminations is definitely a cool show; not just fireworks. If my mom was still here, I know she'll be bee-lining for the show. It makes me emotional too.

Ninja Mickey is the coolest!!! My nephew's karate school has a statue of Karate mickey, very cute. Everyone around me was looking at me a little strange when I took a pic of it. :rotfl:

I am pretty-fairly-semi certain I want to go in October. And spent all my time in Epcot. :thumbsup2

Kat I was reading but as usual had to wait for the photos :sad2:

I can't see KC either, he's a good hider :rotfl:

Wow you guys ate a lot, you're very adventurous too I'm so picky with food :rotfl2:

Taylor Hicks is the guy who won one of the American Idol seasons, guy with the grey hair. I'm not a fan but knew who he was. KC loved him on Idol.
