Why did we plan out this entire trip?! A 2nd Honeymoon Report...sorta.The End. 5/21

I'm still here. It's been really busy around my house too so I completely understand. I am barely able to keep my own trip report updated.

Sorry for the lack of updates, I have been sick and also running around alot. BUT here are some of my NYC Christmas pics to hold you over!

After the party we walked to Grand Central Station to get the train (it's also where KC proposed so if we are nearby we always go).

He is a Mickey's Monster. It says on his tag he likes to get into photo's and we thought he was so cute, so he came with us. As you can see we left him on the 2nd bed on the pillows. This matters later, trust me.

Uh oh....doesn't sound good...:rolleyes1

I bought the gingerbread for the cookie cutter mostly, but the gingerbread itself was sooooo good!

Happy New Year Kat !! I hope yours was better than mine:scared1:Ralph and I were good friends !!!:lmao:

I didn't take nearly enough pics this year!

UPDATE COMING SOON!

When last I left you we were burned out on Disney, on day 1. Then we met up with our DIS friends and all that changed! We were headed towards the Food & Wine Festival and hungry to boot!

We were going to start towards Canada but a need for a glass of Champagne was in order for V and Michelle. That meant we should stop for a cheese plate at the Mouse Catch. I guess we were so excited to eat that we forgot a pic. We got the trio and they were all good!!! Upon recommendation from Michelle and family we also stopped at Buenos Aries for the Grilled Beef Skewer with Chimichurri Sauce.

Man was it tasty!! It was one of the better things we’d eat.

We all stopped at a random cart to eat our food and chat. I really enjoyed just spending time with everyone and chatting. I love the feeling of old friends that you get even though we aren’t. DIS friends are the best!

Next we went to Chili for the Corn and Cheese Arepa. It was decent.

We made our way towards the Canada side, stopping for a bit on a bench so everyone could Twitter and Facebook and send pics to friends.

At about that time V’s son Leo was a bit restless and wanting to try out the Kim Possible stuff and Michelle was meeting another DIS friend, so we split up and planned to reconvene at the stage where Off Kilter play.

KC & I continued to graze along the showcase.

We hit up Greece next for the Chicken Souvlaki with Tzatziki. It was surprisingly tasty. I’m Greek and have had real good Greek food and this was defiantly a pleasant surprise.

On a side note…since we had a messed up version of what we had planned for the Dining Plan we were able to use snack credits for all of these dishes. That was the saving grace of the whole mess up, we didn’t pay for barely any F&W plates OOP.

So onto more food…Canada was the next stop. Did I get the Cheese Soup? Nope. It didn’t do it for me last year and ever since I had it inside LeCellier I just couldn’t do it.

We did get the Spicy Chicken Sausage with Sweet Corn Polenta. I didn’t remember a pic. Probably because it was too spicy for me and I had one bite and gave it to KC , who likes spicy more than I do. He enjoyed it.

We plopped on down by the Off Kilter stage (we were missing them by a while). We could see the New Zealand booth so KC went to get one of his favs from last year: Lamb Slider with Tomato Chutney. It was made differently this year, and it was delicious!

2914937690070748021S600x600Q85.jpg

I used my first Cast Member Free Drink or Popcorn coupon about now and got a sprite for us to share. We planned to just reuse the bottle with water. Yep Fl water is icky BUT it was actually really hot out so I’ll drink it!

I sent KC to the Ireland Booth next, while I waited for everyone to meet back up. This is my favorite booth by far!!! We got: Lobster & Scallop Fisherman's Pie AND Kerrygold Cheese Selection (Aged-Irish Cheddar, Dubliner and Vernia Cheese with Apple Chutney and Brown Bread).

2726133060070748021S600x600Q85.jpg

Man was this soooo good. I can’t say enough about them! This booth makes me happy to be part Irish!

Michelle and her girls came back with DISer Allison (Keepmovingforward) and her daughter and shortly thereafter V and Leo came back and we were on our way back to eating and chatting. On Jordan’s recommendation we discovered we missed out on something awesome at the Ireland booth: Warm Chocolate Lava Cake with Baileys Ganache.

OMG! This was amazing. We decided that we could all just drink the sauce with a straw. I liked it so much in fact , that KC and I ate ours so fast we forgot a pic! So I took a pic of Michelle and Jordan’s.

As a group we made our way to France (one of my fav pavilions). We had a member of our group who had to try Escargot for the first time, and KC was fiending some too! F&W got him hooked on it. We were told before the trip, by KC’s boos who had been in WDW a week before, that we needed to try the short ribs too.

So I give you: Escargots Persillade en Brioche AND Parmentier de Boeuf Braise au Cabernet.

Michelle had her first Escargot and liked it. We decided they were good but we are now spoiled by the French spot we found by our house that has gigantic escargot. The short ribs were out of this world ridiculously good! They were top 3 best things at F&W!!!

Leo did his Kim Possible mission in France and we all tagged along. It was really cute and I really wanted to do one ourselves later in the trip but we never got around to it. We had a great time hanging out by the fountain and just relaxing in the shade.

On the way out of France we got a Grand Marnier Slush, one of my fav drinks in WDW. And we headed towards Morocco where we grabbed an outside table at the Tangerine Café and chatted some more. I can’t express how great of a way this was to do F&W. Not only did we have great friends with us but the relaxing way we ate and sat was so awesome. Originally we planned to go back to the hotel for swimming because we thought my back wouldn’t hold up, but with all the sitting and chatting we did I was fine and we stayed out much longer than anticipated.

Michelle and Allison and family all were doing MNSSHP that night so they left us to go freshen up before the party. It was so great to finally meet Michelle and her wonderful daughters for the first time since chatting for so long. I truly hope we get to meet again, they are great people!

V, Leo, KC & I headed towards Japan and said our goodbye’s there. It was great to see V again and get to talk more because when we originally met we were with a group of 40 people. I look fwd to seeing her and her adorable son again in WDW.

We decided to make our way to one of the boat docks and head back to the hotel for a while but we needed to get our hands on some Louisiana food first! We had : Cajun Style Crawfish Etouffee AND Chicken and Andouille Gumbo. We were going to share but KC liked the Gumbo more and I liked the Entouffee so we just had a bite of the others.

During this time a friend who worked at the World of Disney NYC, Mandy, was in Epcot with her new DH. SO instead of heading towards Germany we backtracked to Morocco so we could at least say a quick hello to them. They were on the way to Marrakesh to eat. We did a quick HI and made plans to try and meet up for IRoE later.

We walked to the Germany boat dock and hopped on. We stopped for a few PP pics as we made our way out of Epcot.

I was cracking up at him.

We jumped on spaceship earth on the way out. It has become like a tradition for F&W for us to hop on when we are leaving Epcot. I love to make stupid faces for the picture.
