Why did Disneyland do away with Aladdin and Jasmine's sleigh float in the Very Merry Christmas Parade?

When Mom and I saw Disneyland's Very Merry Christmas parade during our Disneyland holiday trip in 1998 I noticed that Aladdin and Jasmine used to ride a sleigh float in the parade with Genie as Santa driving it but then I heard that Disneyland got rid of the sleigh float because it was causing guests to get injured or die because the sleigh would run over them. What is the story behind this? I thought Aladdin and Jasmine looked so cute in a sleigh together

Floats change yearly. As new movies come out, we will get different floats.
