Why couldn't Briar Rose /Aurora lie about how she met Prince Phillip in Sleeping Beauty?

When I have seen Sleeping Beauty I have never figured out why Princess Aurora never lied about meeting Prince Phillip to the fairies? What I think she should've told Flora Fauna and Merryweather that Prince Phillip was just a new friend and she wasn't even supposed to talk to him in the first place. But another thing that shocks me about Sleeping Beauty is that when Aurora returns to the castle after Aurora is given her crown she sits and starts sobbing and crying about not meeting Phillip again and one of the fairies should've stayed with her to calm her down. If I was in Aurora's sneakers I would not cry over meeting my crush and just forget about him and move on. But Aurora basically had one thing on her mind and that was Phillip and not focused on anything else and if she had not touched the spinning wheel Aurora would not have fallen into a deep sleep if it was the only chance she had to see Phillip again but at least he was a hero to wake her up from the spell. I sure wish one of my crushes would break the spell if I was in a deep sleep like Aurora was

She is a 15 year old girl in love for the first time and who never had to lie in her entire life. Does she even know how to?

Don't think logically, especially not about how writers wrote characters in the 1940s/1950s. Different time, different world.

Why did Maleficent send dumb helpers for 16 years to look for Aurora, and not Diablo immediately?
Why didn't Ariel just write Eric a letter what is going on?
Why does the Prince not remember Cinderella's face?
Why didn't Scar kill Simba as well?
If Buzz is convinced he's not a toy, then why does he stop moving when a human comes around and act like a toy?
How did Mother Gothel know which song to sing to flower and why would she think that it would work on the baby?

You shouldn't think too deeply about Disney movies.
