Why can't I post attachments?

I have tried to post pics to some of the threads and it won't let me post. HELP?
Under posting rules, bottom left.........it says "you may not post attachments".

I do not know the answer, but there is a Technical forum, go to the main forums, it is way down the bottom.

Actually, no one can post attachments on DIS. Posting attachments is a way to upload files into your messages that others can download. DIS doesn't allow this.

To put a picture in your post, you have to already have the picture stored online somewhere.

I use the personal web space that comes with my cable internet account. I upload the photo there, then use the photo button (looks like a yellow picture of mountain at the top of the edit area) to put the address of the picture.

Who is your internet service provider?

If you don't have a personal web space from your internet service provider, you can use a free photo hosting site such as www.photobucket.com .
