Why at age 10?

They will never be able to please everyone, I suppose. I don't see a problem with the current ticketing structure, though it seems like it could be done by height. Enforcement would be done at the gates and families that were obviously trying to cheat the system would just be sent over to Guest Relations to pay the difference or denied admission. That doesn't seem too hard to do.

I can see some of the frustrations with buffets and DDP. I just don't know if there's a way to win, especially at a buffet. It's not like you can just say "But I swear I'm not going to eat that much, honest". I know plenty of kids who can pack it in as well or better than adults.

I dont mind the tickets so much, even though DS wont do the thrill rides, but what killed me was paying the adult price for the Candlelight Processional Package for DS (who turned 10 a week earlier)...and he was given a childs menu to order off of. :sad2:

When I was pregnant with DS, 10 years ago, Knott's Berry Farm had a pregnancy ticket it was $10 off the regular admission same price for Senior Citizens.

I don't know/think they still do this, but I remember at the time thinking I wish Disney did this. I am sure they stopped because many women probably said they were pregnant just to get the admission cheaper. I was not showing so they just took my word for it and once you passed the gate nothing said you paid less.
