Why aren't there ride photos on some of the newer attractions?

I was just curious if anyone knows why some of the newer rides don't have ride photos? I would love one from Rise of the Resistance (maybe when the drop happens), or Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway. It just seems like a missed opportunity for some of the newer rides not to offer them. They are always so fun to look at after a trip and remember the ride. Of course you often get blocked or it's fuzzy, but that's part of the fun. So why don't they do it for all newer rides?
Thanks!

this is only a guess on my part but I have a feeling Rise would be challenging to take a picture without ruining the immersive part of the attraction. Most of the dark attractions that have ride photos also have a camera flash and possibly they wanted to avoid this?

MMRR would be fun!

Also both are trackless ride systems, MMRR you have multiple cars at different points in each section of the ride. It’s not like they all go through the same point to react to an action like you would on a coaster.
Ooo I bet that is it! Just realized ratatouille doesn’t have it either and is also trackless. So since not all cars go to the same spot they would have to build multiple camera shots and likely didn’t want to do that.

I also thought about the immersive experience, but the flash could easily be timed with one of the shots from the blasters or any of the bad guys.

Now that we have this thread, does anyone know why Big Thunder Mountain in MK doesn't have an onride photo?

We have the onride photo in Paris on BTM and every time I am in WDW, I always forget and then I am surprised when I do not see it.

Yeah that is strange! Maybe with the long refurbishment they could add it?

They built Big Thunder at WDW first and then it got added to the other parks . Does BTM at Disneyland have a ride photo?

Disneyland Paris - Yes.
Disneyland Anaheim - No. According to the website it's only Space Mountain in Disneyland Park with an onride photo.

But I wonder, when the ride in Paris was built in 1992, were onride photos a thing / available in the 90s?

On-ride photos were definitely a thing by then. I remember Splash having them, though you had to go to the counter and buy it on the spot if you wanted it.

SM at WDW used to have a ride photo but like Splah, had to purchase. I bought one of my sons’s first ride.
