When done right, the Memory Maker can be a great deal, but you definitely want to make sure everything is clearly linked, etc., before you get started. We ordered in advance and were a little confused as to whether we needed to visit guest relations after we got to the parks to get everything connected. One CM told us we definitely needed to do so -- after we had already ridden Test Track and got some Photopass pictures taken. So I went to guest relations, and they told me it was already on there. As for ride photos, one CM told us we would need to stop at the photo "store" at the end of the applicable rides to get our photo linked to our account...and when we first tried to do that, the photo CM said there was no need to do so, as the technology had already done that for us. In short, it is quite possible to get different answers from different workers...just as with pretty much any other issue at WDW - ha! Thankfully, we had everybody properly linked ahead of time, and everything worked out well. My problem now is that we have tons of pictures and this is the week that they start expiring, so I'll be spending most of the evening adding borders, attraction names, copying different sizes, etc., before I download a couple hundred images...rather than paying the $19.95 extension fee. (We actually just got back from a second trip, so we were able to play with the timing of viewing, downloading, etc., and are actually getting two trips' worth of photos on the same Memory Maker, as well as photos from two other families that have gone with us).
