People just don't get it. Then I find myself comparing everywhere we go with WDW accomodations and the quality of the service and the CMs. We find ourselves saying "we're not in Disney World any more. . ."
Good think we all understand !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I find myself doing the same thing. I do believe that Disney has some of the best service in the world. They are not perfect, no company is, but they are better than most. I dont just think this because I love Disney either.
On one occasion at WDW, I was in the food court at the hotel. Not looking, I accidentally stepped in a plate of spaghetti that someone had spilt on the floor. I didnt slip, but my shoes, purchased two days prior to my trip, were covered in sauce. I went to the front desk and asked to speak to the manager. My main concern was not my shoes, but to inform her that the incident had occurred, and that the mess was on the floor for almost five minutes. If I didnt tell her, the F&B manager probably would have never known. When you have a spill like that, especially in a high traffic area like a food court, employees should be on it like a wildfire. Im sure in most cases they are, but a lot can happen in five minutes.
The manager offered to have my shews cleaned. I told her that I would try and clean them first and that I would bring them back if I couldnt get them all the way clean. Well, I got the sauce off, but the shoes still smelled like an Italian restaurant. I took them back, and she said she would get them cleaned. An hour later I get a call on my cell from the manager saying that Disney is going to replace my shoes with an identical pair. An hour after that, I get a nock at my hotel door, and there is a CM with my new shoes. Thats service.
This is a good example of how Disney can be both imperfect as well as accommodating to its customers. Another resort however, who knows how the situation would have turned out. Disney is very efficient when it comes to resolving issues, so Im sure the lack of immediate clean up was brought up to the food staff. Disney sure doesnt want a lawsuit on their hands.
