Why Are We Addicted To Disney?

For us, we got married there, so it will always hold a dear place in our hearts. However, for both of us, it is because of that feeling you get when you walk through the gates of the MK and see the castle again for the first time. My stomach always jumps a little and I feel like I am a kid all over again! To me, there is nothing better!

for me, Disney is a lot of fun I guess because my family never had a good history, even when I was younger, but at Disney, everyone was happy, having fun, and smiling. I wish my little sister shared my love of disney, because if she got over her fear, I know we'd have a blast together, even though we are nine years apart in years. (I'm 17, and she is 8), I think we could really get along there, because we'd be having to much fun to get on each others nerves. We bond over a mutal favorite show, but that's about it (Suite Life of Zach and Cody, immature on my behalf, but oh well, I've always loved anything Disney)

But Disney really keeps everything together, I mean if you stay at the hotel, you can't even get non-related disney channels except weather, so I think if you are surrounded by such a fairy tale, its really hard to be upset.......

I grew up in Ireland, and at the time, pretty much the only kid friendly stuff on tv was Disney. We lived for Sunday evenings and the Disney movie! Then I remember seeing something on TV one day about this new DW in Florida, and I remember being dumbstruck at the very notion of a place that was all disney. All I can every remember wanting during childhood (besides a pony) was a trip to WDW.

Many years later, we took our two boys on that first magical trip. Boys will be boys - they grew up on power rangers and Batman, so while happy to be there, it didn't have as much meaning for them. But I swear, I was close to tears standing at the bottom of Main Street looking up at the Castle. I still get that feeling when I think of going back next January.

What draws me to WDW is the way your treated is like no other. Their is no other place on earth that every moment of the day your smiling and everybody else is happy just to be together and with the closest to the heart. I will never forget the trip my DM, DD, DB, and I went on in 2003. I was so sick I was coughing and wheezing but, it was all blown away by all the joy and wonder radiating off of everybody. Most importantly it was blown away by the Disney Magic. That is why I believe we all go back because of the simplest of things and thats the Disney Magic experiance.

I love Disney because it brings families together... it's the feeling when you first walk into the park, the kids are excited and smiling. My husband takes my hand and is totally happy to be there.... It's pure Magic. The colors of the buildings, the smell of fresh baked breads and cookies, the laughter of kids everywhere, and the joy in the eyes of parents and grandparents sharing precious memories. I am totally relaxed there, I don't let anything spoil it, and if someone wants to rush pass me and run, run, run... go, I'm here to enjoy and totally let Disney take over.... lets build great memories here....

Me too! When we were there last, I was all choked up telling my family that it was a dream come true, we were finally there. Actually, I did have tears...they think I'm nuts but love me anyway.

Not sure...Maybe because we're all geeks! It just gives me something to do and I really enjoy it. WDW is one of the best places on the earth and it is just great to be there and experience it. And also, I am in love with roller coasters!

For my husband and I, we are "addicted" because we feel like we don't have a care in the world when we're there. We don't have to worry about anything...even transporting ourselves from the airport to the resort! We can have fun with each, feel like a kid, and not have a care in the world.
