I just reserved my vacation at POP and the girl said my amout for the room would be $640.01 including taxes. When I asked her if this was the basic package because I know I want to add dining as soon as packages came out, she then gave me a different price. $768.52 and that includes tax and vacation protection insurance. Can anyone tell me what this is and why is it so much more? Do I need this insurance? Thanks.

You may have gotten a discounted rate for some reason on the first reservation. You must pay rack rate to get the dining plan. Just a guess.

The insurance is about $120 for two adults. That's your difference. If you ask her to knock off the vacation insurance you'll be back at your original quote.

Thanks everyone...all set and ready to go...now to figure out where to eat?

Colleene24, I'd really, really recomend the travel insurance. We stayed at the poly concierge for 10 days... and I had a heart attack on the plane flying out. Travel insurance would have really been handy that trip. You never know if someone gets sick, or what might come up. Cheap protection for an expensive vacation.
